What is the tension range for Arc10 ?
I asked the stringing person to string bg65 on tension 28 and they send me a note saying "this tension is not recommended for this racket, ..."
like they are saying if it breaks the racket or the string breaks very easily whatever, it is not their fault and just reminding 28Ibs is not recommended.
I never heard of suggested tension for certain rackets though, is there racket that are only suitable for higher tension and stuff? what is the recommended tension range for rackets such as Arc 10.
And how do they know it?

Yonex recommended stringing ranges from 16-25 pounds. For the Arcsaber, it should be 20-25 pounds. However, with a good stringer, it should be able to take 28 pounds relatively easy.The store is probably give you a waiver saying they hold no responsibility.

Other brands have higher tensions specs. Head rackets have a 26 to 30 pound max stated. I also thing a Chao pai rackets is garunteed up to Thirtyfour. and if i remember correctly, a Carlton AS 1 can be strung up to forty pounds with warrenty.

Yonex rackets can take the tension, but yonex sets low bars for the tesion ranges.

oic :). In fact, I have black-night PHOTON XL PCV (very expensive... kind of regret that i should've bought armotec). and this racket works pretty decent...

wow ~ 41... I wonder how fast you have to swing on every shot to get the squeezing feeling of birdy...The sweet spot becomes so small that it is impossible to play with for someone of my ability....it feels like a board and the vibration is terrible on mis hits....
But, when you do get it right it will really zing it...

I'm tempted to try it with 35Lbs but rather nervous.I think it will take 35 no problem...part of the problem is with the string...when the string broke is when the racket broke inward...if the string did not break then the racket would not have broken...Maybe one of the Nanogy strings would be better than the bg 65 I used...Ask Dink what string he would choose for this test....The M-Tec80 frame is stronger then the M-Tec 70 so I think 35 is close to max for it...
