Expected results as Meiliana Jauhari/Shendy Puspa Irawati lost to CHN's rising star Cheng Shu/Zhao Yunlei; while Simon Santoso also got beaten comfortably by Peter Gade. Nitya Krishinda Mahesware/Greysia Polii also lost to the top-seed in WD Chien Yu-Chin/Cheng Wen-Hsing.

Meanwhile, it's good to see Devin Lahardi/Lita Nurlita winning their match in 3-sets, and they will face Rasmus Bonde/Helle Nielsen for a place in the last 8.

Candra Wijaya/Joko Riyadi also nearly won their match; but Gan Teik Chai/Tan Bin Shen saved one match pt and went on to clinch the winning pts.

It appears that Lee Chong Wei, against his norm, played rather cautiously against the explosively fast Lu Yi. That should explain the first two games.
In the third, Chong Wei simply pulled a Bugatti Veyron (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VEL5ABddZ0k) on his opponent :)

Strangely enough, that's also what Lin Dan did to Anup Sridhar at the end of the second game!

- Sairul lost in straight sets to Ng Wei.
- Lee Chong Wei was having some early challege from the Chinese youngster Lu Yi as I predicted earlier. Eventually, it was the experience that brought the world number one thru.
- Wong Choong Hann lost in straight sets to the Danes youngster Jan O Jorgensen.
I was disappointed the way Sairul & WCH lost.

WS (1/2)
- Lydia Cheah has done her best against Zhou Mi.
- Julia Wong won convincingly against Ella Diehl but will have a tough match against Xu Huaiwen in the next round.

MD (3/3)
- Fuzzy came thru in rubber sets against Yonathan/Rian.
- Koo KK/Tan BH came back from 1 set down against Eidestedt/Ellis.
- Gan TC/Tan BS won in 3 thrilling sets against Joko/Candra. I thought they have lost after conceding 5 game pts in the 1st game.

WD (2/3)
- Goh LY/Ng HL should have won the match when leading 13-7 & 18-16 in 2nd & 3rd games against Wallwork/White.
- Chin EH/Wong PT won in straight sets.
- Haw CH/Lim PS advanced in 3 sets against Jwala/Shruti.

- Koo KK/Ng HL lost in 3 games to Fitriawan/Nurlita.
- Razif/Woon KW lost in rubber games to Adcock/White.
