OG is very boring, it's like a small group of gangsters grab stolen booty with the door closed. Many talents, especially young talents were excluded. That's the reason, you never see any rising star in OG, not even any new face.

AE is better than OG, even it's not as good as it used to be before IBF cut the entries in half. But it is still better than OG. Just from this 2009 AE, you can see how many best talents in badminton who are much better than even the winners in OG, those talents include, but not limited to:

Zhao Yunlei, Wang YH, Wang Lin, Jiang YJ, MA Jin, Cheng Shu, Ko Sung Hyun, Ha Jung Eun, Kim Min Jung, Han Sang Hoon, Shin Baek Choel, ....

Even just look at the path of LCW's advance, 1st round he almost lost to Lu Yi from nowhere in 3 tight sets, then 2nd, he advanced with 2 tight sets, then 3rd round, became much easier, then 4th round, totally shut down Taufik without any effort... which indicates clearly how boring it is for the matches between those old faces.
