I don't know how much harder LCW needs to train, he was hand in hand, step by step with LD basically throughout the match. Errors from both sides, yet, LCW just can't get through. LCW was leading with a couple of pts in the 1st game, yet failed to capitalize.
Maybe he'll win it if LD is not competing in the All England??..;)

I still think Chong Wei has what it takes to beat Lin Dan as long as the right strategy is deployed, that's be more aggressive and attack. It put tremendous pressure for any player trying to play defense against Lin Dan and hardly work.
I think Chong Wei played pretty well but his defense failed him. Congratulation to Lin Dan, still the best MS player in my book!

IMO, Misbun & LCW have tried their best to figure out a way to beat LD, strategy or tactic wise. I'm sure they've tried to dictate the rhythm, but if LD didn't want to let it happen, what can LCW do? Mentally, i think LCW is there, just that LD's focus level is higher. This is like the 3rd time LCW had faced LD in the last 7-8 months or so (well, twice in CHN), yet LD hadn't relented and lost his focus when playing against LCW. Focus and not taking anything for granted.
Perhaps LCW should spar with LD more to really up his game??..:);)

Of course LCW has improved, otherwise he would not be WR1, but to say that he has matched LD's game, you can't be joking with a second game scoreline of 12-21 in LD's favour. He can't even force a rubber on LD.

LD was frivolous in his first game and committed too many unforced errors, especially his cross-court smashes which went wide. He was often the faster player and looked every inch a superb athlete, with an evenly-carved out body to match.

LCW, on the other hand, looked tentative and uncomfortable in his oversized red T-shirt, making him look so skinny - almost as if he is 'sick'. Even his poweful legs could not compensate for his relatively "underdeveloped" upper body, especially his upper arms compared to Lin Dan's.

Well I don't know what X Ball has to say this time that his three heroes - LCW , KKK and TBH did not win any AE title. Oldhand and I, and of course, Pemuda, have thought the Malaysians were somehow not up to it...yet. ;)

In MD's, we've saw how The Fuzzy and KKK/TBH being thrashed by their opponent. How CEH/WPT lost tamely to the unfamous CHN pair. And how DLCW, lost again to LD in straight set.

We questioned on the ability of Misbun Sidek on the coaching's ability and strategise the ways to beat LD. We questioned on the ability of Rexy to bring KKK/TBH comeback from their downhill-symptom. We also questioned on the camp-party (copycat CHN's) that are held by the BAM.

We'll see some answers like

- We cannot blame the coach. It is all depend on the player's on court performance.
- We should give them chance because they are still young.
- They have tried their best, only the opponent is in superb condition.
- etc...................

At the end of the story, no one is going to responsible for the failure.

It's the Malaysia culture.

As to "no one held responsible", Misbun's salary was reduced to half after failure to win a medal in OG 2004. PJB also got the heat during his time iN Msia. That's what's reported, we dont know what other stuff happens behind the scenes.;)

Interestingly, INA also didnt win this AE, their no 1 MD not present of course. Even present, they may not have gotten past the Koreans or fresh FU/cai.

Credit to Chong Wei, without him our Malaysia Boleh slogan will sound even more ridiculous :D I am not dissapointed with Chong Wei performance, I just don't think any one can beat Lin Dan!
