First of all,I doubt tat WMC can go through semis. But firstly she must confirm that she will participate. The draws is very good. WMC had an 2-0 head to head against Japanese Hirayama.Eventhough last year's SS final WMC losing to Pi,but don't forget she had an serious injury that time, and she lose just 2 points in the deciding games!WMC,gambateh!

A possible clash between TH vs Du Pengyu at R/16 scenario, one interesting match as Du shocked TH in R/16 China Open SS last November.

LCW and Taufik are probably competing here to get a feel of the arena before the big clashes in August's World Championships.

this will let us catch a glimpse of mew choo's recovery process, and how she is doing...I really really miss her in action...:( but it is certainly a wonderful news that she is slowly coming back into the circuit.
all the best to all the malaysian players!! Hope that LWW and CTF can make it to the final!! man y did JJW/YW and GL/WYL withdraw??? They would make WD games SOOO much more appealing! ;)

New combinations in the Mixed Doubles:
Ma Jin & Shen Ye (replacing Zheng Bo) - China
Muhammad Rijal & Debby Susanto (replacing Vita Marissa) - Indonesia
Of course, Vita is competing too.. with Flandy Limpele in the XD and with Nadya Melati in the WD. Of course, she will be keenly watching Rijal's new XD adventures :D
--------------
Li Yujia (Singapore) is on to something bizarre
In Mixed Doubles, she is paired with Hendra Wijaya (Singapore).
In Women's Doubles, she is paired with Haw Chiou Hwee (Malaysia).
Either Singapore & Malaysia have decided to combine strengths... or Singapore's imported players have been given a free run.

Agreed. There's no point in exerting more effort in the India GP Gold. But then, he might just wanna familiarize himself with the same venue for this year's WC?

badmania, familiarizing himself with India for the sake of WC makes sense.
But heck, he can do that with Mew Choo either. Need not his gang in BAM..?

I agree with robin7, LCW should just withdraw... that way, Andre Kurniawan can have a better shot at going to the final... :D Maybe play Taufik in the final?

A "cam ayam sayur tournament"?:confused::confused:
I don't think that LCW and/or TH would treat it as so.
Let's hope that LCW and TH would play their best, therefore entertaining all of us. :):):)

wow..thats a good decision make by china team for the chinese mixed...
but i think they partner each other in this tournament only? izit? if shen ye rili replacing zheng bo to team ma jin...it's rili a good news..
That zheng bo... dun like him...after saw him scold ma jin til cried in AE09..
totally feel that he is not gentlemen enuf...no sportmanship...

INA winning WD? Really? :p :o:o
CHN is fielding Ma Jin/Wang Xiaoli and Wang Siyun/Zhang Jinkang. I doubt any of the INA WD pairs can beat these 2 :o Not even Vita Marissa/Nadya Melati, who will be facing them Wang/Zhang early.
Also, there will be many senior pairs to contend with (2 from MAS), so, the competition in MD will be wide open too.

WS - INDIA (Saina, who else)
saina is good but not that good, just beware of Zhu JingJIng,Maria, and wong MC.
She's not that consistent yet, sometimes she has to play rubber and with tight score with lower rank players like porntip buranap and taiwanesse player (I forgot her name)

somehow, that isn't happening in india. may be due to security issues or simply bcoz it's just gran prix gold tourney, less money, less points, less stars players . . . . . . . . .

Zhu Jingjing withdrew
better chance for Maria Kristin, but she should be carefull to Zhang Beiwen who won Vietnam Open last year.
Zhang looked more dangerous than Xing Aiying or Fu Mingtian and this is 1st match of Maria back from long time injury.
badMania
03-23-2009, 07:57 PM
Yup, if Maria Kristin can beat Zhang Beiwen tomorrow, her second opponent should be more manageable. Then, she's likely to face Lydia Cheah Li Ya in the QF, followed by Saina Nehwal or Julia Wong Pei Xian in the SF.
