Alright so has anyone ever gave a racket to a stringer to string and finding that they returned a fake racket to you?

Well friend bought 2 Nanospeed 7k and gave them both to a stringer to string.
she verifyed that they both were real and genuine they were both the same to.
when she went to pick them up they didn't even look at them, she just took em and went home.
when she brought them to gym i looked at them and told her one of them was fake.
she said said they weren't but i showed her how it was fake.
she told me the stringer probably switched them.
but now she has no way to get her racket back since she got them in veitnam and got them string with bg 65 and 66 in veitnam to.

:(

Yes, there's a small chance that some stringers doing "shady" things. However, mostly that can be an honest mistake, as the stringer might have 20 rackets on the table at the moment. It's more down to the customers, to double check and verify before leaving the store.

If I receive more than 1 identical racket in a day, I usually immediately put a piece of tape with name and string/tension, this way, I will not give player A with B's racket or wrong string/tension combo.

I don't live in a very big badminton community so we don't have that many GOOD stringers here. So most good stringers can get it done in about 10-20mins. Though if they don't know how to do it properly, I tend to notice that it takes them about an hr or 2. So it depends where you go and I would recommend writing down the serial number/cone number before you leave it somewhere to get it strung; then you can verify it is yours.
This happened to me but I noticed that the paint on my racket was chipped in certain spots that it wasn't before, and it was just a mix-up of which racket was mine. Luckly I noticed it right away though.

one of coach (not sure whether he has the license or not) here in Singapore also showed me his fake NS7000 which he bought from Vietnam, he sold 20 pieces as well here in Singapore. the racquet has a very good painting and finishing, but it is fake from the serial because it made of year "2000" and date is "60" :D

if the rackets are brand new, you shold ALWAYS write down the serial numbers prior to dropping them off for stringing.

If you know what's the proper way of string a badminton racket, you might want to reverse your claim. It's normal to take close to 1 hr for a decent job. The ones do for 10 mintues, are the ones you definitely should stay away from.

String racket should focus on the quality of the job, not the speed. Rush and rush only gives more profit for the stringer, but at the cost of your own racket's life and string quality.

Hi are you sure about the "close to 1 hour"? The stringer I have takes at most 15 min max and I have heard he is quite a good stringer... :)

If you are happy with him, then that's all it matters.

I'm a stringer myself, without rushing through the string job, it takes 1 - 1.5 hrs, since I do double-pull for each string and feeding the cross strings, also I don't pre-weave. Those who got their rackets strung by me can tell you that tension remains good for longer and string life is definately much better than ones strung by other shops.

I can finish it within 30 mins, but that means pulling the strings really fast (burning the strings) and the cross strings will twist during the process, resulting in decrease in lifespan of the string, this will be good for shops since less durability means more income for the shop as you will be restringing your racket more often.

Taking time to string a racket does not mean a stringer is no good (in most cases), it just means that they take the time and attention for a good end result.

Wow, that really sounds impressive...but actually I havent got a clue what you just wrote; pardon my ignorance:D; I cant say I am absolutely happy with him cos he is only the second stringer I have tried and both of them seem to function similarly; I do notice that my strings tend to migrate occasionally with each stroke and I have posted my queries before in another thread and I had reasons offered to me ranging from the low tension I use(22lbs) to possibly my frequent slicing of my shots... dont know if this has to do with the stringing? Haha, would love to find someone in my area who strings the way you just described though....:)
