kk i recently bought the Apacs Armor Muscle 90

i strung it at 24 lbs

i was just wondering to all users who've tried this racket out before of what you think of it

in terms of power, accuracy and reflexes

I for one have not really tried the racket out yet but i will give you my intentions of the rackets so far

I tried it at a small squash court with new net or anything, was just rallying with it

First off, I can tell you it is a very nice stiff racket and I feel that it is easy to control compared to my wilson v10

It is alot easier to generate power in clearing than my wilson v10, which has a very short racket, at least half an inch shorter than the amp 90 and it was a 4U.

So basically this was my first time using a 3U and it feels pretty good

I was not able to do much yet but i will let you guys know what i think of it more later

Let me know what you amp 90 users thought about this racket =]

sweet, i tried the racket out today, it feels very nice

i agree with the power accuracy reflex part

it is head heavy i believe

i am able to generate great power with the racket although i am not a very strong player

i am able to get the boom sound and a decent smash with this racket

its not heavy at all overall, its great for defense and great reflex with it

i'd say this racket is not too much of a hammer, it feels like an all arounder type of racket.

the racket can generate great power yet maintaining great control

with players more intermediate and advanced, i believe this racket will be very good indeed

i myself have not tried any high end yonex brands but all i know is this apac is amazing

no, U denotes a specific weight class. 4U is generally 80-84 g, 3U is generally 85-89g.
Grips sizes are usually denoted in G's

there are a lot of factors that make a racket an attacking or defensive racket. While weight plays a part, it does not decide it. Balance, frame, flexibility all play a role.

However, If you can wield a 3U well it should have more power than the Same model in 4U.

I have bought two AMP 90.

First, I have to tell you my prior rackets were MP-100 2U G3. Therefore, it feels probably two times heavier and ten times stiffer. So, my review will be based on the difference between MP-100 and AMP 90.

Not a heavy racket at all.
Medium flexible racket.
Head heavy, though the racket is not heavy.
Ability to generate quick snap shots, and powerful smashes.
Quick recovery for defense.
On top of everything, APACS is 10000x cheaper than Yonex.

overall, APACS is worth it :D
Cheers

Beside mentioned above,

The longer length is a plus.
Hits to base line & clears easier.
Perfect power hits generates a great satisfying boom sound for sure.

Fellow Forumers,

I bought AMP90 a few days ago, and am really pleased with it!! I recently had some bad luck with my YY rackets (broke AT800OF, NS9K, MP23.. :crying::crying:... don't ask me how).. so I thought of going a little light on my pockets :D

But, all (good) I heard abt this racket seems to be true.. (I'm not a hard hitter so I'm not worried abt the durability very much. but MP23 used to feel a stronger frame... may be 2Uvs3U difference?).. this racket's got a lot of stuff in it!

I haven't really got used to this completely, was using a heavier racket earlier, but I certainly feel the control and ease of generating power with this already! :D I wish though APACS sold rackets in their G1 grip. Hope I get the hang of it quickly!

Certainly, APACS (atleast some models) is worth it! I'd recommend this beast! (PS: personal opinion :) )
