I've recently hand strung two of my racquets, as they are now a little old, and aren't worth getting re-strung professionally.

I managed to string them with the highest tension I could get by hand, I estimate they are about 16 or 17 lbs tension. I did try them out and found them both quite playable.

Has anyone else done this, and have they had any problems with hand-stringing?

I'm a beginner as far as stringing goes, and I am thinking of buying a Klippermate Badminton Stringer. Does anyone have any experience of this machine?

Here in Singapore it isn't worth buying a stringing machine for personal use because the strings you buy from shops all include stringing service.

I have tried stringing my rackets by hand and managed about 20lbs max. A friend of mine can string it up to 22lbs by hand. Interesting but i prefer my rackets strung professionally.

i like to add that by having a stringing machine doesnt make one a professional stringer.
