Biased minds can't think objectively?
As far as Kwong Beng is concerned, it doesn't matter if he can't beat Hayom in the finals but going into the finals is a breakthru that the youngster needs.
That said, Hayom will probably choose Kwong Beng over Tien Minh if given a choice.

Dionysius Hayom Rumbaka is still 20 this year, going on 21 this coming October.
Being in the Final of an Int Challenge event also represents his best achievement so far and the 3600 pts won will be the highest he has so far in his short career, which should propel him to the top 71-75.
I will not expect him to beat the much more superior Nguyen Tien-Minh, but, if he can do so, it will be a huge added bonus for him. He has won a National Circuit and an Int Series title this year. Another Int Challenge title will boost his career and hopefully will push him to the top 50 at least by end of this year.

Predictions are always very subjective (based on individual's knowledge of the players and his/her own judgment). Nevertheless, we try to be as objective as possible.
If we are biased, we will predict that INA players will win EVERY TIME. Yet, I have predicted against INA players/pairs (including Rijal/Fran's loss to the Thai pair, Wifqi/Afiat's loss to the SIN pair) . I am glad that the INA players can prove me wrong with their good showing. So much for biased predictions eh ;)
Based on rankings and experience, no doubt the 4 INA WS players are ahead of the Thai girls, which is why even though Ratchanok beat Lindaweni in R16, I still predicted that the more experienced Aprilia and subsequently Febe will beat her. No doubt, I will still predict that Maria Elfira Christina will beat Ratchanok in the Final tomorrow
I guess ppl here can judge if that's considered biased predictions. LOL.
Even if all the 4 players lost to Ratchanok Intanon, I guess we are still fine with that because we are guaranteed one title in XD and possibly a couple more :D

PB Djarum started to send Hayom to Int Tourneys last year. So I believe Chan Kwong Beng should have more int experience than him.
His results include:
SF at GGJP Indonesia Challenge 2008
R16 of Dutch and Bulgaria GP 2008 -- losing to Chetan Anand and Rajiv Ouseph 19-21 in the rubber-set.
R16 of Vietnam Open GP 2008 -- losing to Nguyen Tien-Minh 26-28, 16-21.
So, I will say a decent record for a player that just started his international badminton career. Even Tommy Sugiarto has yet to win a title until now
Well, I never expect that Hayom will progress to the Final. I believe his coach also only set a SF target for him. So, a Final placing itself is a bonus for Hayom. A win will be....a minor miracle I should say...but not impossible given the closeness of the scores of the previous match against Nguyen Tien-Minh also in Vietnam.

it depends on their performance and their health condition,in this tournament i think AS performance is not to good,so he can lose with HHY,and Hayom in this tournament he make a good performance so he can reach the final, but CKB can't reach the final in this game,so it means in this tournament Hayom is better than CKB!
in india LCW maybe have a poor performance so he can lose, and in india i can said that Hafiz better than LCW,cause he can reach more better result than LCW.but in next tournament, don't know.must see their performance.

Comments from team manager on Hayom's performance:
"Hayom played well today, beating the Japanese player in straight-sets. His shot-making ability is getting more complete and can start to control the front court. He is also more matured in terms of his thoughts and attitude during the match."
As for Febe's loss to Ratchanok:
"The Thai girl is very good for a 14-yo in terms of her power as well as having good control ability."

ur concept is simple, but, reach a few round further in a tournament doesnt mean a better than b. many things need to take in count, luck of draw is one of them. anyway, case closed as u didnt get what i mean.

At least I'm not. In fact, the scorelines are quite respectable. We can never underestimate JPN players.
Edo/Lingga bear the target of having to win this tourney. So, I am sure Edo will be very disappointed with the result.
I personally expect Edo/Lingga to finish as runners-up behind Hendri/Hendra when the draw was made. That's why I commented in the earlier post before the tournament began that it will be hard for INA to win a title in MD. Hendri/Hendra's loss yesterday raised my expectation but to no avail
Japanese double pairs are certainly starting to rise up to the occassion with the emergence of young pairs like:
1. Kenta Kazuno/Kenichi Hayakawa -- I am sure nobody heard of this pair before this year, but they are now World No 16
2. Naoki Kawamae/Shoji Sato -- Sato has been remarkable in MD so far, winning 3 tourneys earlier this year and now WR40.
3. Yoshiteru Hirobe/Hajime Komiyama -- WR59 and Winner of the Osaka Int Challenge 2009, beating Kazuno/Hayakawa in the SF.
4. Hirokatsu Hashimoto/Noriyasu Hirata -- WR72 and Runner-Up of the Osaka Int Challenge 2009.
...and now perhaps a no 5 with this new pairing of Takeshi Kamura/Takuma Euda?
Wifqi/Afiat also lost 19-21 in the rubber-set to Hong Chieng Hun/Chow Pak Chuu  Well, no INA-Final for MD as well, in fact, both are eliminated much to the disappointment of INA fans :o
However, Wifqi/Afiat have exceeded my expectation of QF placement by surprisingly beating Hendri/Hendra yesterday.

Analysis on both INA MD's losses today by the team manager:
They lost not because of the burden of being the top 2 seeds. It's more due to the lack of judgement in terms of change of tactics (kurang perubahan taktik) in the middle of the game. Actually, the opponents were not that special after all (lawan dua2nya tidak istimewa sama sekali). (*before anyone shot me with "biased" words yet again, note that these were the words of the team manager, not me ).

With the NSS, MD is the most competitive discipline at this moment. I'm not surprised with the losses of INA as any pair can win over any pair at anytime.
Disappointment from the top 2 seeds are undrestandable as MD is INA's most confident event in this tourney. From my observations in the previous tourneys, Edo/Lingga are not stable yet. I'm not sure about Wifqi/Afiat.

Except for Kido/Hendra, the rest of the MDs belong to the category of "not stable yet", with not much results to show for  I personally don't think Edo/Lingga can rise to top 5. They might be a top 8-10 pair, but, I fear they may not become the best ones  Well, that's just my own opinion.
From the upcoming pairs, Wifqi/Afiat are probably the most promising and I dare say they might surpass Edo/Lingga in the near future.
Below them, it will be Ulin/Berry.

Well, Tantowi himself already won a bunch of titles with Yulianti, his former partner as well as Shendy Puspa Irawati, including 2 Vietnam Open GP titles. It's the change of partners that disrupt his progress in the past 2 years
I am pretty sure that Towi/Richi will be pushed to the first team very very soon and hopefully rising up to top 10 as Fran/Shendy did in 1-1.5 year time. As for Fran/Pia, good showing as well and I have confidence in them as well.
Get rid of Devin/Lita! Towi/Richi, Fran/Pia and hopefully a younger partner will be arranged for Butet. In that case, we have 3 pretty solid and young XD!

So, Team INA won 2 titles in the Ciputra Hanoi Vietnam Int Challenge 2009, with victories from Akhmad Tantowi/Richi Puspita Dili and Pia Bernadet Zebadiah/Debby Susanto. Undoubtedly, this will lift up the spirits of Pelatnas, esp in WD and XD. It also proves that Pia's switch to doubles work out pretty well. I am pretty sure she's gonna win more titles as compared to slogging it out in the singles.
As for Team Djarum, they can be satisfied with 2 runners-up. Dionysius Hayom Rumbaka exceeded my expectation in reaching the Final, before inevitably bowing out to the local favorite and defending champion Nguyen Tien Minh.
If you have a player that can beat 4 of your players, then, it says something about him/her. Ratchanok Intanon is certainly a sensation and I believe this title will just be the start of a possible big future for her in badminton. However, the performance of the new Pelatnas member, Lindaweni Fanetri is certainly quite impressive as she crawled all the way from Qualifying. Fransiska Ratnasari can also treat this tourney as the start of her "new life" as a Djarum player. I believe that the QF placement will instill a renewed confidence in her career.
The only disappointment was the loss of 2 INA MD pairs in the SF yesterday

It's TANTOWI, not Tontowi. Towi is 22 this coming July, while Richi should be 20 if I am not wrong.

Even Tommy Sugiarto has yet to win a title until now
...
..if not mistaken, Tommy has 2 titles safely secured in his back pocket..However, and unfortunately, they are not of the GP, GP Gold or SS variety..;)
As for the THA WS young sensation, Ratchanok I., she's one to keep an eye, or two eyes, on. However, expecting her to reach the 2012 OG might be a bit stretching it (let's see what she can do against other top WS players; not just juniors or 2nd, 3rd tiered players whom she beat).
