Travel with Racquets

How do you travel around with your racquets? Do you check-in as fragile item at the airport? If so, do you just put them in your racquet bags or is there any other method of packing needed?

Usually I take my racketbag with me as handluggage. The rackets are very fragile and will easily break or the strings will go. It would be catastrophic if my rackets were not ready for play when I´ve travelled to asia!!

Sometimes they will not let us take the racketbag onboard!! Then I´ll check it in as a fragile item after telling them they will have to pay for every racket broken!!!
