HI
I used to play with the Mp 88 but I have to buy a new set of rackets. I wanted to buy the same model but I cannot seem to find it anywhere. So are there any good alternatives that play somewhat alike? ( It's mainly for Doubles)
Thanks

If you can't get hold of an MP88, the Armortec 600 is probably the closest to it you'll be able to get.
Probably an Arc7 will do as well.

Hi KaffiQ,
I also play doubles and used to play with the MP88 which I loved for its lightness and quick reaction (I also had an MP99 which I found sluggish in comparison for doubles play).
The best replacement I've found since has definitely been the NS7700 (a head light racket). The Armortecs are head heavy rackets BTW (see Yonex chart)...
Cheers,
Mike

The MP88 is slightly head heavy... if you had a 4U MP88 the AT600 is probably a good transition.

Thanks guys!
I think I'm gonna go with the arc7, as I read that it's rather healthy for the arm, something that is quite usefull for me. (Having problems with my arm for ages)

Too quickly interupt before you go ahead.
The armortec 600 is more like the Muscle Power 88 than the Arc 7

Having an AT600.. very nice and quick racq.. very easy to handle... but don't expect it generate powerful smash like At700...

First sorry for diggin up this thread?
What was the exact balance point for the Muscle Power 88?
Try the armortec 500. I read in one of the reviews that one on the members here had MP88 as his primary racket and then used the AT500 and loved it. Had no problem switching over.

HI. I still read it, yes. I went for the Arcsaber 7. One reason was that it seemed to be healthy for your arm and the other one was that the armortech series was nearly nowhere availabe :D
Took a little while to get used to a new racket but now it's just fine

It varies because it's impossible to keep the same point between each and every racquet under different strings, grips, etc.
I'm gonna guess (haven't tried one) that it's about 295ish ± 5mm or something. It's been described as slightly head heavy.
Its supposed to be 290 ± 3mm
