i serched the forums for info but couldnt find any so ill start a new post.

my friend came over from overseas with his arc saber and played a bunch of games with him. we had 1 contact with racquet to racquet but there doesnt seem to be any damage. no string breaking or racquet deform.

he left today back to asia and left his as10 and said i could keep it and owe him some dinners when he comes back next year ^^

upon closer inspection i notice a line that might be a crack. i dont know if it is since the crack is only on the outside and doesnt seem to effect the performance.

i want to replace his strings but dont know if it will buckle and break.

SO i need some help identifying if it really is cracked. and if it is, anyways to save it from breaking. its still pretty new

btw i applied some glue on the line.

need some help with verifying if its a crack or not on my yonex arc 10.

its a small line on half of the outer part of the racquet. the other side doesnt seem to be affected. happened when i think i hit my racquet with my friend.

it wasnt hard and i think we he hit my strings and not the metal parts

i also applied some special glue that i usually put on scartches so it doesnt flake off even more.

also if its a crack, how can i repair it?

Doesn't look like anything to worry about. Just continue playing with it.

It may depend on the tension you want to get it restrung at.

What tension you thinking about getting ?

o no, so it will crack when i restring it?

mabey ill stick to lower tensions like 22lbs

is there any way to protect it? and is it hollow inside? i might want to make a support bar or buy one before i restring it.

i tihnk its a crack but it might not be. it hasnt spead yet. used it for an hour yesturday for warmup before switching to 9900.

Haha, in the first picture it looks like you're on an upper floor looking down at a Lamborghini with your racket in front of you in some sort of car show, later i realized it was a toy car

it doesn't look bad. could be a line chip. it only would be bad if the crack shows the internal parts of the racket (like the layers of graphite and stuff). Well, i'm not too sure about it. Anyone else that can confirm it?

if it is a crack, is ther anything i could do to save it?

this cost me alot of work hours to save up for.

Theres not much you can do. If it is a crack when you get a racket restring or even when your strings break the racket will most likely crack right through. Just with the tension and pressure changes on the frame.

And yeh if it isnt a crack it could just be a paint chip.

Well I bought a armortec 700, had a same problem, but in the top. But mine is worse, just after 1 day hitting, the vibration or the racket crack the paint at that part. So i just return the racquet on the next day. =)
and yea it's an obvious they accepted it.
Well I bought at OCBC, and so they accept it back and return to yonex, and yonex sent back to me a new one. Well I already got a different one right when I brought it back to OCBC. But yea, the Yonex should exchange the new one to you, if you have receive and all that stuffs.
I don't know the real policy if you buy online from another buy or something like that.
lucky for me that I bought today and next day I exchanged it.
however sad news, I left my racquet in my car. The heat in noon, and the cold at night makes the racquet quality gets harden. And so I broke I racquet by smashing with a 31 flb on the string.
Yea recommend don't store your racquet in hot place.
racquet will goes bad, and the string easily will break too.

i think you would be limited to tensions around 20 lbs. no amount of superglue/glue helped. sigh...

gam purpose is right, get that checked out, and probably shipped off to warranty. chances are you could receive a new one, assuming you don't mishit too much/ string at 26+...
