This has been my racket of choice for roughly 7 months now, and another guy at my club bought one around the same time. I love using this and one of my friends has now bought one on my advice (the black and orange new style).
Now, i was just wondering what people thought of the racket??
The place i bought it from advised me that it was more suited for short play, drop shots etc but i have found it the best racket to smash with out of the 5 i have owned. Aswell as being better for short play than both the Arc 7 and Arc 10 (one of my friends has the 7 and 3 have the 10).
so any opinions would be appreciated =]

I prefer the mp 99 and mp 100 over any nanospeed racket.

Nanospeed is one of my favorite series of the Yonex lines. I own a NS8000 and I would say if you got lots of wrist power, the racquet is an amplifier for powerful smashes. To me it's a very nice racquet to own and play with. One problem is that inside of the cone has some problems. I had mine (old style) replaced with a new one (new style) because the nails inside the handle wood piece was lose and made some weird squeaks. But, it's still a great racquet.

im not very good at smashing but planing to improve my power.

BG80 or BG66 are good strings if you want power. Personally I like BG80.

nbg95's only feel good at high tension (25+ from personal experience). If its lower, you will lose out on power and your shots will have no feel at all =/.

BG80's is the way to the go. Durable and powerful =). Id recommend 24lbs +

My first choice would be BG85, then it would be BG80 and BG65. I have yet to try BG70 and BG66. I like BG85 because of the high sound and the similar feel to BG80 since both of them have vectron (material that covers the string for BG80 and 85?)

NS8000, I find feels very solid while being very light. It's light and precise, but those fast half smashes are very powerful, and full smashes feel very tight and explosive.

currently using the ns8000 and agree is good for short quick exchanges, but i also find it is good in all other departments also as it has a good solid feel. strung mine with bg68ti at 25lb which took a little getting used to but i find is a good string with good repulsion and a soft feel, durability is also good and i would say better than bg80...nbg95 is a good string for power and has reasonable feel.

because the free bg65 that i got loose tension too quick. i dint ask them to pre stretch the string.

i been using a ns8000 ( new color ) with bg 66 since nov 2008 till now , broke strings once ( 25 lb) , i have been happy with the racket but i am selling it this week and planing to up grade to a ns9900 with ng98 ( cant wait )

If you string it with high-sound strings, you know if you hit the sweetspot or not. It's just my personal preference as I like the sound of "BOOM".:D

If you play with NBG-98, the sound will also terrify your opponents. This can be very useful :D:p:rolleyes::cool:. On a more serious note, there is very little sound does but then it's still good to have a stringbed that makes a satisfying crack when you really go at a smash. Somehow, I think it just gives you a little bit of confidence and possibly some reward for finding the sweetspot. Sound isn't a massively important thing, IMO but every little helps.

Ns8k has one of the most fragile frames next to At700 from yonex. But in the end, it will come down to wear exactly your mishit was. A slight mishit on a frame can be devastating O_O

I play with the NS8000 with BG80 @ 13kg. It's for me the ultimate racquet. I've try the ARC10, but I was missing the power in it. The NS8000 had speed and power, and the ontrol is for me perfect.
