INA 3 vs ENG 1 as Nitya Krishinda Maheswari/Greysia Polii easily beat Jennifer Wallwork/Gabrielle White 21-15, 21-7. So, a place in the SF confirmed for Team INA.
In the last match, Nova Widianto/Liliyana Natsir vs Anthony Clark/Donna Kellogg.

Nitya/Greysia 21-15 21-6
it's not absolutely,if China team played their strategy n they let Japan team win 5:0,then japan team beat england team with 3:2,and China team can beat Indonesia team with 5:0 score, japan will take SF place,is it right?hope it won't happen...

Yes..possible..but I could not imagine if CHN loses to JPN 5-0...why? Chinese people cant take it and may ask LYB to step down...:D......but no way..CHN people will let Japan humiliate CHN ( eventhough CHN team purposely loses to JPN and CHN media wont take it)..plus dont think CHN can beat INA surely 5-0.....may be 4-1 or even 3-2

i think so...but who knows?i think China team prefer japan team take the SF than Indonesia team...and if indonesia team can take 1 score from MD,the 3 country score is 9...how to choose the winner?in MS lin dan vs sony,WS so many players from china team and indonesia team only depend on MKY,MD and XD the percentage 50:50,and WD i think china team will take it...

Malaysia's Wong Pei Xian grimaces in pain during the women's single preliminary match against Hong Kong's Yip Pui Yin at the Sudirman Cup World Team Badminton Championships at Guangzhou Gymnasium. Malaysia made up for the disappointment of losing to Korea on the opening day and Indonesia confirmed their status as one of the prime threats to China at the Sudirman Cup.

i doubt it
ms,md and wd for malaysia..
ws and xd...interesting match....
even ina bcer have more confident in mas squad compare to those mas bcer?
such a pity nation
Now, now limsy, don't bring your nightmares to us. ;)
As I have said, HKG will pay the price for not fielding ZM or WC in WS and they make yet another mistake for putting WC in WD! LCW must not slip up to ensure a point for MAS. :D
haha,but alany didnt think so;)
MAS has 1 certain point in MS and HKG has 2 points in the bag for XD & WD. The other 2 will be 50-50. All in all, HKG has the upperhand thus afford to rest the top 2 WS.
maybe mas need to ask lcw to play in xd,md and ms:crying:
Then, it'll be even worse nightmare than the 2007 lost to England.
haha, uncle sam say mas is easy meat to everybody;)
And the Danes will surely lost to MAS 0-5 ;)
,unbelieveable
mas to lost 5-0.then play in play off with japan/england
then lost and drop to division 2;)
Now I must confess that the second game is turning into an impressive fightback by HKG. But will it be enough to stretch MAS to a rubber?
I'm a bit slow and the MD match is finished. MAS must have won by a narrow margin. Sorry AlanY.
haiya, they always there and never up level acording to the comnment below;)
to those that lost to this pair,a kind advise: please revise about ur career when u lost to someone never improve:cool:
Koo/Tan games still stuck at the same level and never improved at all.
Yippy is helping Julia to get up. Tan CS was caught laughing at the player's area.
I don't think Julia can continue...
Match#4 was awarded to HKG.
hope she wont suffer like what wmc had for years:crying:
Now the MAS/HKG WD match finally begins ... :p
I'd say MAS has more than 50% chance to win the match. Any takers? :D
mas wd luckily won the game,so as xd match, blame luck:mad::rolleyes:
Yup.The weather is damn hot over there at Phuket
I missed the match between MAS vs KOR :(
nah,uncle sam,dont bluff lar,u already know mas will lost,sure u wont want to watch:p
or u want to see how lousy mas is?:p
Wah, HKG leading 6-5 in the rubber!
And now extended to 9-5 ... wake up MAS!
Now 5 points apart at 11-6 ... interval. Rexy must do something to turn the tide...
Narrowing but still behid 9-12 ...10-13... now catching up 12-13 ... Jess are you still following?
Caught up 13-all ... but HKG now takes the initiative at 14-13... MAS levelled and now serving ...
MAS leads now at 15-14 ... phew very close ... but MAS scored another point to make it 16-14 ... now the crucial 17 before HKG is making a determined comeback 15-18 .. but it may be a little too late to overtake MAS ...
And now the time is near and its the end for HKG without scoring another point 21-15...
Sorry again, AlayY, but your hopes are gone...
haiya, why the fave of this match will lost?umpire helping mas wd?or line judges?:rolleyes:
MAS will be an easy meat for everybody :o
agree,such a pity and shame
shouldnt send the squad there using the excuse:swine flu:mad:;)
expect mas to lost tomorow tie with 0-5:rolleyes:

Haa, just saw Lauren Todt on camera ..... she looked a bit more muscular now since we last met her at the Thomas/Uber Finals in Jakarta.
..Lauren has been playing in the Denmark league for a few months prior to the SC. As a matter of fact, she might've only stopped by U.S. briefly before heading out to Guangzhou (w/the U.S. squad). After this SC, she'll be back to the states and then continue her stint in the Denmark league in August (most likely after competing in the U.S. Open).
I think MAS would take it easily.
..yep, pretty much easy breezy for them. Although i didn't know who were going to represent HK and if they were going by that playing order. Even CEH & WPT had to grind through 3 games.
On that note, i think M'sia's tie vs. HK should be their easiest.;)

Err, that's not quite right. "Bisa" in Malaysian Malay is ambiguous, it can mean the same as Indonesian Language (Boleh) as well as "Poison" or "Pain". This depends on how the sentence is structured. But now in regular Malaysian Malay, Bisa is only used for literary works.
Anyway, back on track.
It was interesting seeing Wang Chen playing doubles, a lot of shots confuses the MAS girls because she was using singles angles. But there is cause for concern that the MAS WD aren't fully in sync because Chin Eei Hui is clearly not match fit. And they didn't cope well with those high serves from Wang Chen.

Implications of a singles player playing doubles:
(1) Since the court to over is smaller, WC is not moving much.
(2) Since the area to place the shuttle is much larger, WC was playing a lot of angled shots.
The only problem for WC is that she doesn't know how to serve short in doubles. It made her look a bit amateurish.

wouldn't any top player be at least reasonably good in all aspects of the game? i have not watched the match, would love to once someone uploads it onto BC. did WC use a high forehand serve each time?

That's why MAS girls should have prepared for the high/flick serves. They could have whacked it down and applied pressure, instead there were more clears than straight down hits.

According the Msia press, Lydia cant replace Julia cos her name isnt in the SC Team List - I'm not sure how the rules go. Anyway, if Lydia go also most likely she'll be just warming the bench, they'll field WMC.
