I am going to comment INA vs ENG match.

1. Nova Widianto / Lilyana Natsir Vs Anthony Clark / Donna Kellog - 50:50 match, but INA's pair has a slight edge.

2. Simon Santoso / Sony Dwi Kuncoro Vs Andrew Smith - INA will take this.

3. Adriyanti Firdasari Vs Sarah Walker - 60:40 for INA.

4. Greysia Polii / Nitya Krishinda Maheswari Vs Gabrielle White / Jeniffer Wallwork - again 50:50 match but still INA has a slight edge.

5. Markis Kido / Hendra Setiawan Vs Christopher Adcock / Robert Blair - INA to win this.

I would say 5-0 to INA. Or 4-1 for INA, given that Nova / Lily lose to Clark / Kellog.

MAS vs HKG :

1. Koo Kean Keat / Wong Pei Tty Vs Yohan Hadikusumo Wiranata / Hoi Wah Cau - Based on performance of KKK / WPT yesterday, MAS has a slight edge. 55:45 to MAS.

2. Lee Chong Wei Vs Chan Yan Kit / Ng Wei - no doubt for MAS.

3. Wong Mew Choo Vs Wang Chen / Zhou Mi - HKG has the edge.

4. Koo Kean Keat / Tan Boon Heong Vs Wai Ho Hui / Albertus Susanto Njoto - MAS to take this.

5. Wong Pei Tty / Chin Eei Hui Vs Zhou Mi / Wang Chen - 50:50 match.

I would predict 3-2 or 4-1 for MAS. But there is a probability that HKG can win from WD,WS, and XD, thus the score will be 3-2 for HKG. It is going to be an interesting match.

Since CEH is injured, I guess NHL will be fielded instead and WC/ZM will be rested. However, HKG can still win XD & WS.

I still think MAS can beat HKG in 4-1 with ZM or WC winning the WS.

All I'm wondering is why the Scots have lined up who they have lined up today

And I've just found my answer :

"Scotland’s Sudirman Cup hopes suffered a third serious setback today when Imogen Bankier was ruled out of next week’s world mixed team championships in Guangzhou, China.

The Scottish squad had already lost one doubles star in Watson Briggs when he was ruled out of the original selection through university examination commitments.

He was replaced by teenage prospect Paul Van Rietvelde, who was originally a travelling reserve, but his foot injury has prevented him taking part in the matches against India, Ukraine and Australia in Group 3B although he was with the squad at this week’s training camp in Wuhan Province and will stay with the squad to sample the Cup experience"

from the badminton Scotland website

In that case: go WD lasses! :o & "thanks" for the update tournamentsoftware ...

- Hmm, how do i rate USA's chances against BUL later? I'd say the only solid chance is the MD. The other events, really 50-50.
- Yeah, i thought i saw MAS squad...(sigh, it's late over here)..:(..MAS should take the tie but could be a rough one..

Yeah, that boring guy calls
Koo as Cold
Mew Choo as May Chore
Neo as New
etc

He calls Mew Choo as Chore May many times towards the end of the decider. It's so embarrasing!

He even concluded that SIN would lose as soon as Derek Wong the 2nd tie against RUS.

1 XD Mohd Fairuzizuan Mohd Tazar / Wong Pei Tty vs Yohan Hadikusumo Wiratama / Chau Hoi Wah - 50:50 game

2 MS Lee Chong Wei vs Hu Yun - It should be a stroll in the park for our Datuk.

3 MD Koo Kean Keat / Tan Boon Heong vs Albertus Susanto Njoto / Hui Wai Ho - Considered failure if they can't win it in straight sets.

4 WS Julia Wong vs Yip Pui Yin - 50:50 game

5 WD Chin Eei Hui / Wong Pei Tty vs Chan Tsz Ka / Wang Chen - Barring from injury, Chin/Wong should win it.

MAS has 1 certain point in MS and HKG has 2 points in the bag for XD & WD. The other 2 will be 50-50. All in all, HKG has the upperhand thus afford to rest the top 2 WS.

INA vs ENG

MD: Bona Septano/Mohd Ahsan vs Nathan Robertson/Anthony Clark -- this will represent Bona/Ahsan's first experience of the team-event. Can they beat the more experienced Robertson/Clark? A 50-50 game and to be conservative, I will give the point to ENG.

WS: Adriyanti Firdasari vs Sarah Walker -- it will be atrocious if Firda cannot beat the ENG girl.

MS: Simon Santoso vs Andrew Smith -- likewise, Simon has to beat Smith!

WD: Nitya Krishinda Maheswari/Greysia Polii vs Jennifer Wallwork/Gabrielle White -- on paper, Grace's experience should help the INA pair secure the winning pt.

XD: Nova Widianto/Liliyana Natsir vs Anthony Clark/Donna Kellogg -- now, this is the tricky one. If the score is poised at 2-2, Nova/Butet have a huge pressure to deliver. As always, Clark/Kellogg tend to play well against the INA pair, so, this pt is not guaranteed as well.

Overall, I still think that INA can secure the 3 victories needed to claim a place in the SF.

Yup, surprise also, unless Zhou Mi injured after playing 2 dept yesterday. Cos fileding ZM in WS is sure point for HK, regardless whether WMC or Julia plays.

MAS has 1 certain point in MS and HKG has 2 points in the bag for XD & WD. The other 2 will be 50-50. All in all, HKG has the upperhand thus afford to rest the top 2 WS.

Sooner said, HKG lost their XD and the WD may well follow the same track. :D

Upperhand for HKG? They are now 2 down, just 1 more for MAS! HKG needs almost a miracle to save itself from destruction.

A tight match between Chin/Wong and Hong Kong WD..Chin/Wong should win in a big margin. If they lost this,it would be a disaster..

Why Jess? MAS has already won. But poor Julia still took it too seriously resulting in her injury and having to give up her match and point. :p

Surprise, surprise, this final match between the ladies is getting more competitive than expected!

Wow it's now point-for-point at 19-all! And surprise, HKG won 22-20! AlanY now has a reason to smile. But the match is not over yet.

Sometimes, Greys can be too over confident...thats her very bad habit...she should not underestimate her opponents...

Yeah I know, especially when this is a somewhat scratch HKG pair with WC playing doubles! :o

But hey, MAS is turning on the screws and HKG managed only about half the number of points at this stage.

MAS I know you can do better!

Its very dangerous for MAS against DEN in the last match later.Looking at the performance of the players, MAS has no clear advantages in the matches.Almost every matches against DEN is a hard battle and MAS squad have to give their best if they want to win the match.

Wah, HKG leading 6-5 in the rubber!

And now extended to 9-5 ... wake up MAS!

Now 5 points apart at 11-6 ... interval. Rexy must do something to turn the tide...

Narrowing but still behid 9-12 ...10-13... now catching up 12-13 ... Jess are you still following?

Caught up 13-all ... but HKG now takes the initiative at 14-13... MAS levelled and now serving ...

MAS leads now at 15-14 ... phew very close ... but MAS scored another point to make it 16-14 ... now the crucial 17 before HKG is making a determined comeback 15-18 .. but it may be a little too late to overtake MAS ...

And now the time is near and its the end for HKG without scoring another point 21-15...

Sorry again, AlayY, but your hopes are gone...
