Even the media from China has confirmed that Lin Dan will play in Ina open... but I suggest not to get your hopes up until the tournament actually starts.:p

I had some free time at work today, so I googled "Lin Dan"(in Chinese) and I found this page with news confirming that the coaches decided to send Lin Dan to Ina open as his final preparation for WC09

you can do a search on your own to find out... I can't provide you with the link at this moment, as my firefox is not working for some odd reason and I am using Internet Explorer which I am not comfortable in using to visit any China website.:p

..with the news confirming LinDan's planned participation in INA Open (his name is also there in the MS draw). Although, yes, his presence remains to be seen..

If LD does withdraw, then Andre Kurniawan Tedjono will face either Lu Yi or Kuan Beng Hong or Gong Weijie or Anup Sridhar :D depending on how many more withdrawals from the main draw... :p These 4 possible opponents are waaayyy better matchups for Andre and the INA fans... :p

I keep hearing Lin Dan commenting to the press that the prize money in badminton is very small compared to other sports [in particular, compared to its cousin, Tennis]... If he doesn't care, he would not have mentioned the same thing many times... :p
