Well technically no , it is it do with the physics of it. But technically , the higher the balance point the more power you are likeley to get. The less balance point , the less power you will be likeley to get. But each have their own advantage / disadvantage , it is up to you to choose which is best for you :-) exxn0mercy 05-14-2009, 11:29 AM Ohh.. I see.. I have a Yang-yang Nano Sensation 100 which is 4U and it's head light balance written on the shaft. But www.badmintonalley.com (http://www.badmintonalley.com) said it's even balance. This racquet can swing very fast because it has a long and slim shaft. If this racquet compare with my Armortec 70MG which is 3U. Is it Armortec 70MG can smash stronger than Yang-yang Nano Sensation 100 ? Swing fast = smash stronger? or ? I'm quite a newbie =) Smash _Drop 05-14-2009, 11:46 AM head heavy rackets are more powerful and therefore result in a stronger smash, but technique is more important. i can smash 95% as good with my headlight ns8000 than my previous armortec 900t krisss 05-14-2009, 03:17 PM head heavy rackets are more powerful and therefore result in a stronger smash, but technique is more important. i can smash 95% as good with my headlight ns8000 than my previous armortec 900t Yes technique is of utmost importance :-). Technique = power. Smash _Drop 05-14-2009, 05:25 PM Yes technique is of utmost importance :-). Technique = power. i would agree...100%:D Athelete1234 05-14-2009, 06:02 PM Would you rather have a racquet where you can smash 80% speed for 90% opportunities? Thats what a headlight racquet is good for. Head heavy will let you smash 100% but only for 50% opportunities because you need to get in position. Personally...I can be just as offensive with NS9000S, NS8000, ARC10, AT900T as I can with an AT700, just that I prefer the 700. Gemcat 05-14-2009, 08:44 PM Agrees with Athlete1234 here. Also to note is that you can defend/react faster to your opponent if you choose head-light, and you can smash more with head-light than head-heavy. With head-heavy racquets, you might need to charge before you get a good smash, unless you train your arm and counter-act the repulsion, of couse. geordie 05-14-2009, 10:15 PM Ohh.. I see.. I only saw a review from Silentheart. I can see people are wanting to buy this racket second hand (curious about it but not THAT curious). Could this be the new Yonex strategy to come down the price ladder a bit? I saw they also have a NS300 (less than SGD100). But nobody done a review yet. krisss 05-16-2009, 02:45 AM Geordie - Yonex still remains to have their expensive rackets but the released rackets for the low-mid range , like the Armortec 70 and the Nanospeed 500. I don't think that its a sign for their prices to go down. |
