im thinking of buying the arcsaber 10 cuz i dont like the head heaviness of my at 900 technique... i heard it was light but really powerful at the same time. What is the best way to use this racket? I dont want to buy such an expensive racket not knowing how to use it it would be a waste..... thanks for ur help guyz :)

Best way to use this racket? Hold the handle at the end and try to use the face area to hit a shuttlecock in a game known as badminton. :DJust kiding.
But really, the Arc10 is such a wonderful all-round racket (leans slightly toward being more offensive than defensive) that most players would find them nice to use. It cut thu' the air very efficiently that when I used it for the first few times, I actually missed the shuttle quite a few time as the racket moves much faster than my previous racket (Yonex Isometric 300). But once I get use to the racket speeds, I really love it as it has a very good balance of power, control and mobility. The best point of the Arc10 for me personally, is that it enable me to recover from those rush shots effortlessly to the opponent's baseline and the control for dropshots and end to end drivings very enjoyable.:)

AT900T is not a bad racquet. Arc10 is an all-rounder, meaning it can perform nicely in every aspect, but not excel in every aspect. AT series are meant for smash and head-heaviness is there to assist this function.

yea haha i kno but the head heaviness got me into this bad habit of slicing the birdie when smashing cuz i wasnt used to it. ahaha

Actually, AT900T is not all that head-heavy compared with Arc10.

IMHO, it's almost headlight. Mine has a BP 2.4cm closer to the grip than my Cab30 (slightly head-heavy/even).

After stringing and modification, MY Arc10 is now officially head-heavy.

It is a very nice racket and I do beleive it is slightly head heavy. As for the all rounder "doesn't excell in anything" point I would have to disagree. It is extremely proficient at providing performance in short acute wrist strokes, and as I've played with it I found that it gives you a lot if you're the kind of player that uses a lot of wrist. As well it offers profound control for net shots and doing really REALLY tight net shots are very good, as an example.

Totally agree. If someone would say the ARC10 would achieve about 90% of the smashing power of a AT900P, 90% of the speed of a NS9000X & is one of the best racket in the market for controlling tight net shots, would it be still consider a racket that don't excell in anything? Surely there is not much rackets in the market that offer the same package as the ARC10.

in short, while it does not go to an extreme in any area, its good balance of traits makes it an 'all around'er? gee. maybe you are overdoing it a bit. its great and everything, but, i think the Zelm Powerplay 9990 could give it a nice run for the money.

If you dont like headheavy, I won't it recommend to you. Actually it's a bit more headheavy than even balance.
Arc 9 is a bit of headlight, go for it or some nanospeed series.

Dear Sir,
This baby Arc 10 is heavy too.:D
Do try to borrow one from your friend and try whipping it. U will then understand better what i mean:D
The whole racket is super heavy:) But this could be perhaps i m a "weak" guy:)
Otherwise try buy a buy clone, Apacs Edge Sabre 10 to try out:cool:
If u like it then buy the Yonex one:cool:
This Arc 10 is gd but may noty suit all:)

No offense to you, pchospital, but I would advise you NOT to buy the Edge Saber. The racket is nothing at all like the real Yonex Arc Saber. May beginner and intermediate players cannot tell the difference but after playing for a year or two, one can tell that the racket has no feel and therefore causes the lost of power. The lost of power leads to this and that and over all, I would just highly recommend you not buy this racket. If you do, might as well buy a fake 10 dollar ebay cloned racket.

I have never like apacs.:)
Clone and the real thing of cos is not the same:cool:
I personally believe apacs did not clone the material and quality:D
Have u ever come across a racket breaks after just merely lightly touching another?
Apacs it that one:D
I personally feel yonex is not much better.:D Nowadays breaks more easily:)
Anyway, as i always say; having the skill more important.
A SGD10 racket has no different to a world champion and he still can use it to beat us flat:D

Better stop Zelm'ing before the mods step in... the thread is about the Arc10.
My arc10 (3U) is head lighter than both my cab30 and ZELM. It's a very different racket and I certainly prefer it to the AT900T/P. The OP will need to try it out himself to determine if it is suitable for him.

The BP on my AT500 in comparison to the Arc10 says that the Arc10 should be more head heavy but it seems more head light. It's strange.
