I've done a search on BC and don't seem to find anything on this racket.

My friend today stumbled across a Yonex Nanospeed 7000BP JP on MyBadmintonStore.com and it is priced at $692CD :eek:. Does anyone have any info or know anything about this racket?

Seeing the price... I would think that there is a limited number of these rackets, very limited?..

It is a limited quantity edition which was not available for sale anywhere around the world and was sold through one designated outlet in Japan. We are not 100% sure what BP stood for, but would probably be Badminton Pro-Shop Japan. If you managed to get hold of one, you may not want to sell it at all.

Haha Same here! But If I were to get a Nanospeed I would go for the 7000. I wonder if the BP will chip as easily as the original one did... :rolleyes:

I did some search on the Japanese websites. Apparently Nanospeed 7000BP is a special colour edition of the NS7000. It was sold only in 2 stores located in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan. The racquet has no difference with the original NS7000 but because it's a limited colour edition, the price is higher. When it was first sold, it's only 22000 yen, which is around USD 235.

Is there actually an official 2nd Gen 7000? I have heard somewhere that they will produce it and to be released on the market. Would this be the '2nd Gen' some have talked about?

Yeah, if it is, as MBS say, highly limited edition, people won't want to be playing with it.

if no one except people in japan and very few others know about it there will be no demend for this item.

Makes me shiver.

If I ever bought this racket I would frame it and admire it every day.
