So nice!
Maybe it´s only optic, but new BS head shape seems to be more oval to me, not classic iso one...
Now I´m concerned about some practical experience with these new toys...

impressive........but i think it was too fast to release another BS series since they just launch BS09 recently. Yonex now have a very tough competition with them (Victor & Li Ning) :D

i'm more interested in the balance point of SW35. if it's above 300mm, then it should be good. Superwaves series lack the outright force for smashing, though SW31 came close.

Bravesword limited? yes it come with a stylish metal case, additional grip and string and certificate but that's it, nothing more :D I dont like the colour (gold like SW32) and spec/feel identical to BS08 so i choose BS08 :D For collection it's worthed but not for playing.

I find most models for both versions are durable & robust. However, I can't say the same about their paintwork though. My BS08 paint chipped/scrapped off easily due to clash :crying:. Are you breaking your racquets regularly?

Selection criteria is more towards shaft stiffness, weight of the head & balancing point. Others I feel their making are more or less the same.

high modulous graphite is not really a fancy technology. it in fact refers to the youngs modulous of the graphite used in the racket. there are plenty of threads on this subject, search it up.

you should know this with your 'gift in physics'...

gift in physics was my failure of an introduction. My english teacher made red marks for it (bad grades). Cut me some slack, please? ;)

But thanks for the info. I think that it just is the name of the metal material they use for the racket. pretty standard.

So... what's so special about the bravesword then?

Guys, I've just went to my local badminton shop checking on some new arrivals. Wanted to get a 2nd racquet after my BS08. As expected bs10,bs11, sw35 & sw36 are not here in KL yet. But there are bs08 & bs09 available (previously was out of stock). I inspected on the swords & surprisingly I notice that the endcap is different from the one I bought previously. The new ones don't have the "Non-slip Endcap." At the bottome of handle, I can only found purple colour background with Victor logo in white. In addition to this, I also notice that the new models that Sealman posted have no "Non-Slip Endcap" logo on them.

Anyone bought new Victor's BS or SW recently? Is it with Non-Slip Endcap (black colour) or it's merely in purple colour like ordinary endcap?

Thanks for your post Sealman. You are very resourceful. Interestingly, it is not the colour has changed but the design has changed too. In the past the "nonslip end cap" design kind a like look "bulged" & gives a more distinctive outlook. I wonder why they change it. Cost-cutting?

IMHO, this "nonslip endcap" technology has been dropped.

Is it really a badminton changing "technology" or did they just advertise the endcap as "technology?"

deathscythe

Not really a high tech technology la. It;s just looks cooler with the nonslip endcap. If the grip is slippery I don't really think that it will prevent it from slipping.

I think this logo is for newer batches of the Victor racquet, those produced after Victor signed up the Korean team.

Same for the Victor apparels, those in the 2009 catalog doesn't have the BKA label but those for Sudirman cup has the label.

Is this a KR coded racket ?
I saw such logo on the SW 35 and SW 36 which both KR coded rackets used by the koreans during the recent Singapore Open.

I have a SG coded BS09 but no such logo on it.
is a CN coded racket...
and also other 4 of thems got this logo too...
all CN coded

but compare with bravesword and superwave series which 1 have a better durability

BS 8 - Head Heavy and Shaft is Stiffer than 9
BS 9 - Head Light and Shaft is more Flexible than 8
BS 10 - Head Light and shaft is Stiffer than 11
BS 11 - Head Heavy and shaft is more flexible than 10

as you can see bravesword series has cover most players liking.

As for durability im not that sure superwave frame is thicker than bravesword but not sure if the bravesword material is stronger superwave

In terms of paintwork durability, superwave is better than BS series. BS08's paintwork is brittle, it chips easily. The BS09 is better and more durable. Not sure about BS10/11.

anyone familiar with the old Explorer No. 5, it stopped production many years ago. reasonably priced, very decent all-round racket with excellent feel, still one of my favorites. not sure what the specs are for the racket, as it was one of my first before i learnt about balance point and stiffness, etc. hoping that someone on here would have a better idea. wondering which of the new models play similar to it?

Explorer no 5? I dun think that there were a lot of discussions on the Explorer series. Glad that wannaliquorbox brought this up. Is Explorer any good? How's that being rated against the BS series?

Personally i find i can generate more power from SW compared to BS09 ...I don know about BS08 since i have not tried before.
