Hi guys i'm currently using the 65ti and 68ti strung at 22lb. I find them very inadequate for feather birds. I don't wish to test the different strings because it will become very costly. Is there a string that you could suggest? It doesn't have to be Yonex. With the 65ti and 68ti there isn't much pop and repulsiveness or robustness to the shot. I would appreciate any kind of suggestions.

Cheers,
Nick

well, if you dont like those two, then you should try BG66 or BG85. However, these two strings arent very durable. If you can... try BG88ti, I know theyre really durable and gives good power and control, and *pop* too ;) If you want me to rate them, it would probably like this:

1. BG-88ti
2. BG-85
3. BG-66

BG-66 is most probably better than BG-85, hard to tell :( but its definetely less durable since its thinner, which is why I rated BG-66 number 3. Personally, I use BG-85 since I cant get BG-88ti here.

Nick,
Try the Winex Ti-80 string. It's a great string and is very suitable for feather birds.

I don't know if it is equivalent to any of the Yonex strings.

Well, i too personally don't like the 65ti for feather birds...then again, when i used them, i had them strung at about 21-22 as well.

I talked to my coach and even though the ti swing power suggests max 20 lbs....he says i should string them at 23 + lbs...i spoke to him about my troubles with bg 65 ti strings for feathers and he said that the strings were too loose at 22 and recommended a higher tension for better feel, control, and power ...with feather shuttles...

But i guess it's up to your liking...the ones the other people suggested above me are good...i too personally like bg 88 ti
