Just met China team and korea team during their rehearsal belagabego 06-15-2009, 11:57 AM wakzz BCL withdraw .... he got so many fans in INA .... why ?? He must be enjoy while girls chanting for his name :P Chibot 06-15-2009, 12:33 PM Bao Chun Lai and Roslin withdrew...Lu Yi got promoted and Hayom enters qualification... Hayom will play against DEN,.. So many girls in Jakarta will be upset with BCL's withdrawal  Krisna 06-15-2009, 12:43 PM I predict all MAS players will get a lot of boos and hecklings from the crowd. The last 1 month has been very bad for MAS' image in INA... :p Maybe these 2 big cases were not well publicized in MAS, but for us these 2 are top top top headline news for weeks: 1. 'Manohara' [MAS prince abusing his teenage INA wife, called Manohara] 2. 'Ambalan' [MAS trying to steal our island/rock/territory, yet again] Thus, expect a ferocious anti-MAS crowd... :p Regardless of how nice LCW (actually) is... Well, even he is guilty by association... :p So the Istora crowd formula is this: 1. INA player vs. a player from another country: support INA 2. CHN player vs. a player from any other country [except he/she is from INA & MAS]: support the non-CHN player [except from MAS], or... support INA if the opponent is from INA. 3. MAS player vs. a player from any country: support the non-MAS player [always!] 4. Good looks matter in 'neutral matches': support whoever is better looking So, we can see these kind of cases: Case 1. SCO [Scottish] player vs. CHN player Support SCO! Case 2. KOR player vs. CHN player Support KOR! Case 3. DEN pair vs. KOR pair Supposedly this is a 'neutral' match... Then this depends on who is considered more good looking by the crowd. If Lee Yong Dae is playing, then (at least the girls will) support KOR! If Boe-Mogensen is playing a KOR pair [without LYD], then support DEN! Case 4. Sexy RUS WD pair vs. not so good looking KOR pair The guys will support RUS! ;) Case 5. Nguyen T. M. [VIE] vs. Joachim Persson [DEN] The women fans will support DEN! The guys... well, they are not even watching this match, they are still watching the sexy RUS pair... :p Case 6. DEN pair vs. MAS pair Support DEN! Abuse MAS!:o Case 7. CHN MS vs. MAS MS Support CHN! Abuse MAS!:o Jagdpanther 06-15-2009, 01:03 PM Mr. Krisna, your post is a little, well, political... :p A little OOT: 1. It's Ambalat 2. I think Manohara case is way overhyped. I'm more concerned about our labor maid (TKI) there. Siti Hajar, etc. You know what I'm talking about, rite? :( I hope the EO will increase the security level inside the stadium. I can't imagine INA supporters threw all kind of things toward MAS players out of anger. :o jasonmarc 06-15-2009, 07:23 PM If that is the case,...I think MAs shd withdraw all players...its so dangerous playing in Istora Senayan...................sigh Its the sad case....for Siti Hajar,...even myself felt angry about it.....her former employer shd be punish heavily............ taufik-ist 06-15-2009, 07:34 PM If that is the case,...I think MAs shd withdraw all players...its so dangerous playing in Istora Senayan...................sigh Its the sad case....for Siti Hajar,...even myself felt angry about it.....her former employer shd be punish heavily............ dont worry.. :D tenggk 06-15-2009, 07:40 PM I really hope to see matches of Tony Gunawan and Bach again. madbad 06-15-2009, 07:54 PM I predict all MAS players will get a lot of boos and hecklings from the crowd. Hmm yeah makes sense cuz of his knee. Good to know he is doing well with SIN victory, should boost up his moral for WC, even though we all know its a Taufik vs Lin Dan finals :P (I hope so hihi) abedeng 06-16-2009, 01:04 AM Istora had always been the most critical testing ground for MAS players' mental ability since the 50s. Even as recently as the Thomas/Uber Cup campaign as last year, the boos to MAS players still made their presence felt. Some of our MAS BC forummers who had their first "baptism of fire" in the arena did not understand the reason for it. Having said that, this is no longer the hostile Istora environment before the 90s. Before that, an outsider (esp Malaysian) needed to have more than motivation to be part of the crowd. Though I do agree that these recent political and domestic issues do not help matters. More transparency and goodwill will help to restore some stability in cross-border relations. Krisna 06-16-2009, 01:45 AM I hope the EO will increase the security level inside the stadium. I can't imagine INA supporters threw all kind of things toward MAS players out of anger. :o If that is the case,...I think MAs shd withdraw all players...its so dangerous playing in Istora Senayan...................sigh dont worry.. :D The crowd won't throw things at MAS players laaaah... :p Just boooos by virtue of 'guilty-by-association'... :o All the INA crowd know that the MAS players were not the ones guilty of abusing Manohara, abusing Siti, and claiming Ambalat... :p They will just vent some signs of disapproval towards the perceived 'unfriendly neighborhood' acts... :p The last time any Istora crowd threw anything [that I witnessed] was in 2005 when someone threw a water bottle to the courtside. The security officers promptly escorted the rowdy INA fan out. While the rest of the crowd chanted in unison: "Kampungan, kampungan, kampungan!" [direct translation: villager/provincial... inderect translation: no class/shame on you] :D ants 06-16-2009, 05:03 AM Fortunately im not in INA now... if not im Dead. :P ehhehe... arumdaun 06-16-2009, 06:16 AM The last time any Istora crowd threw anything [that I witnessed] was in 2005 when someone threw a water bottle to the courtside. Jo remained in Vancouver after Rally Racket...just returned to Jakarta this month...hoepfully the marriage will happen in August huangkwokhau 06-16-2009, 08:33 AM Malaysian players got Boos a lot today.....it is amazing that it was well attended eventhough it is qualification Krisna 06-16-2009, 10:02 AM i want to deport zhou mi,xxf, wang lin, wang yihan, so wang chen will be the winner of women single Indonesia Super Series 2009.. hahaha :p Then Maria Kristin will win, not Wang Chen... ;) Malaysian players got Boos a lot today.....it is amazing that it was well attended eventhough it is qualification Yes, as I predicted... If Boe-Mogensen is playing a KOR pair [without LYD], then support DEN! Case 4. Sexy RUS WD pair vs. not so good looking KOR pair The guys will support RUS! ;) Case 5. Nguyen T. M. DEN pair vs. MAS pair Support DEN! Abuse MAS!:o Case 7. CHN MS vs. MAS MS Support CHN! Abuse MAS!:o Mr. :o i totally agree with krisna, its their fault claiming our territory as their own...maybe someone will throw bottles or rotten eggs at the malings that'll be interesting, i'll be LMAO-ing this just shows that the ina fans and crowds are bringing some bad images to the badminton sport. what the heck the current issue got to do with badminton? this can be shown that not just badminton get a bad image, i'm afraid even the country itself will get a kind of image by ppl around the world though.:( p/s I'm not pointing fingers to anyone here though.. Malaysian players got Boos a lot today.....it is amazing that it was well attended eventhough it is qualification this is totally stupidity imo. mas players will surely get destracted with this :rolleyes:..I remember watching on tv last year ina open md final where fuzzy vs gunawan and chandra.. when fuzzy takes a shot.. the crowd will shout a boo:mad:..at last when fuzzy won, i'm quite happy actually.;) at least they manage to silent the crowd to dead. Starting from tomorrow, there will be a lot of "BOOOO-YEAAAAH!" BOOOOO - when a player returns the shuttlecock. YEAAAH! - when his/her opponent hits it back. Louder if it's a jump smash. Especially when it's involving INA players.:D that's not a very good thing to do though...even if mas vs another player's country.. at least be neutral. no need to anti -malaysia until like that actually. even in malaysia open in stadium putra, mas fans doesnt do that. wakkakaakkakaka..... that's our trade mark..... only at Istora :D:D erm, actually do you guys so love that kind of trademark?:( george@chongwei 06-17-2009, 01:51 AM anyway, guys.. peace and relax..;) let's dont make this as politic..rudy, please keep the news coming:D ctjcad 06-17-2009, 02:38 AM I was amazed to see so many groupies. If players are not welcomed, then don't invite them in the first place. I often consider the boos as very important, to further develop players' minds against a "hostile" environment. Seriously. I queued and was fried like crazy today but only managed to get the Rp.10,000 ones. NOT WORTH IT. Seriously, not worth it. Especially if you're a girl. U get pushed, tortured, stepped on, wet from ur perspiration and others' perspiration, you'll even have some difficulties breathing. I kid you not. Today was the first and last time for me, queuing like that. So people, buy from the calos. And yeah I bet they're all in this whole sick system together: the committee, the calos, even the security guards. Because today some people saw the security guards (who were supposed to keep the queuing lines in order) selling some tickets to calos. True story. You can't just blame the calos, they're all in this together. The boo-ing of MAS players was a bit funny on the first day, but for me it gets old. Now it's just plain annoying. Hint: if you take away LYD, BCL and FHF, then you will see less flash users... :D But that will be bad for the tournament... This flash thing happens everywhere. It was quite rampant in SO also (though it didn't sound as bad as in IO). No matter how many times the announcer warned the audience, there are idiots who keep using their flash. It's an everyday affair. The best solution I have seen is what I noticed during the Beijing Olympics. The ushers had a sign that they can hold with one hand. The sign warned against using camera flash in a few languages and was large enough to be seen from 20 feet away. Whenever they noticed a flash, they will show the sign in the general direction because sometimes you don't know who exactly the culprit is. If you know who the culprit is, look him/her in the eye and show the sign. skchen 06-19-2009, 04:03 AM Lim Swie King had launched his authography."KING"...he discussed about ALL Engalnd final in 1976 where he was asked by PBSI's official to lose to Rudy Hartono so Rudy could have the record of 8 time AE Champion.... KOR players [should KOR play against weaker countries, like ENG, then the crowd support ENG] So, for tomorrow's finals: 1. XD: Lee-Lee vs. DEN, support LYD and KOR... 2. WS: Saina vs. Wang Lin, support IND... 3. WD: MAS vs. CHN, support CHN... 4. MS: LCW vs. Taufik, support Taufik [IN-do-ne-SIA, IN-do-ne-SIA...] 5.
