Is there an evening where the courts are open for a social hit, or for hire?

Sorry for the late reply. The Melbourne University Sports Center is open to the general public, so you can hire courts directly from them for your social games.
The Melbourne University Badminton Club does not hire courts out.

if you have the choice try not to go for Melbourne University cause its like really old and pre-historic theres like no chairs you sit on the floor, try and find a time to play at Albert Park (MSAC) if you can.:):):)

I haven't played MSAC yet, looking forward to it when I can get around to it. There's a social hit there, yeah? What night?

There's a social on Wednesday nights at MSAC which is headed by the Albert Park Badminton Club, 7:30-10pm, 4 courts, games are allocated - 20mins a game meaning you'll be guaranteed at least 3 games for the night. Old scoring system to 21 points, and if a game concludes, you simply play till your alloted 20mins is up.
Chris at CCC Badminton also run a social Wednesday nights at MSAC, $10 and games are allocated using a whiteboard system. It's similar to Albert Park BC, but you get to choose the people you want to play with or you can just put your name down for a game - it's up to you but basically it's first come, first served. No time limit on games - just the new 21-point rally system.
Friday nights, a social is run by MSAC staff, it's 6:30pm-9pm and a rather pricey $11-13. Basically this is first come, first served when it comes to games. No time limit - old scoring system to 15 points.

Hi all,
Is the social hit still on-going? Don't see much activity in the forum and the links in the stickies are dead. Would like a weekend hit-up in the CBD if possible.
Justin.

Hi Justin,
Sorry for the late reply.
We will have our usual weekend session this saturday/later at 1-5pm. There's an elite session on Sunday too if you are interested.
Pm me if you want more details on the elite session
We did not utilize this forum much this year. The club website is also down due to some problem with the MUS. We are rushing them to get it fix asap.

hi fm1fm2,
How do I join social hit in Melbourne Uni ? Can you give me some information on the location (I'll be thankful if you provide information on how to get there by using public transport if I live in CBD), the time and the pricing (please note that I am not a student at Melbourne Uni.).
Thank you.
Cheers,

Hi Gunawan,
Our session will most likely resume on the 3rd week of January. You will just have to pay 10 dollars on each session you join.
We play in the sport centre of Melboune University, 1-5pm Saturday. Most tram you take on Swanston st towards Melbourne University will be alright.
I will keep you informed on the next coming session.
Cheers.

I've forgotten to add. The coming Sunday session is just once off. We usually have our social on Satuday.
