Yeah, very sorry!:D:D:D
Well, but in the second set, I find that the SIN's pair play quite well!!! Whats main reason cause them lose in the first set? They get only 2 point in 5'????

badMania 06-25-2009, 12:00 AM Andre Kurniawan Tedjono progresses to the QF and fulfills his seeding. he should face Hu Yun. Another winnable tie and the reward will be a SF clash against Lee Chong Wei.
badMania 06-25-2009, 12:05 AM Hendra Aprida Gunawan/Alvent Yulianto Chandra also continue their good form as they progress to R16 and will face another young MAS pair. I hope they can go all the way to the SF and test the second-seed Koo Kien Keat/Tan Boon Heong.
If they progress to 4 SFs at the 5 remaining Asian GP Gold tourneys this year (Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Macau and Chinese-Taipei), Alvent/AG should rise up to the top 10!
panasonic_chai 06-25-2009, 12:07 AM tcs beat ykb

Thanks, chris.....that Indra Wijaya is the one who played in Singapore years ago...right.......a MS player...?
Yes, chandra is the oldest son of Wijaya family, about 34 year old. And Rendra about 25 year old.
Is Rendra play for pelatnas now...?
fd16n 06-25-2009, 04:18 AM Chandra is the second son. Indra is the eldest, I think Rendra is still in Djarum, because every Pelatnas player withdraw from tis tourney.
Chibot 06-25-2009, 04:35 AM Is Rendra play for pelatnas now...?
No, he is still in PB Djarum. cmiiw
Chandra is the second son. Indra is the eldest, I think Rendra is still in Djarum, because every Pelatnas player withdraw from tis tourney.
Oh yes, my bad. I forgot about Indra :p, so Chandra is the second and Rendra is the third son right?
badMania 06-25-2009, 05:10 AM Hendra A. Gunawan/Vita Marissa book a place in the QF after a 3-sets victory over the young Thai pair. I think this veteran INA pair has a chance to break into the top 20. I suppose they will also participate in the upcoming Philippines, Thailand, Macau, and Chinese-Taipei GP Gold events. At the age of 27, Hendra AG is quite suited to play XD, partnering an experienced player such as Vita.
vpsingh 06-25-2009, 05:27 AM Ratchanok leads Saina 1 game to nil.
Can there be an upset by the youngster???
vpsingh 06-25-2009, 05:54 AM Saina just managed to scrape through. Ratchanok is certainly going to prove most valuable for Thai Badminton.
eaglehelang 06-25-2009, 05:54 AM Ratchanok leads Saina 1 game to nil.
Can there be an upset by the youngster???
Nope, Saina's experience prevailed.
Meanwhile, Lydia vs Fu Mintian intense, 1st & 2nd set already in deuce. Let's see the young gals can go to 28 pts in rubber. :D
flying kangaroo 06-25-2009, 06:02 AM Match fixing.............:D
back injury so she can't take x court shot quick enough:confused:
flying kangaroo 06-25-2009, 06:04 AM Ratchanok leads Saina 1 game to nil.
Can there be an upset by the youngster???
Its hard to see Saina win back to back titles which require able mind and body. Saina is very tired. WMC has good record against her 4-1 I think
eaglehelang 06-25-2009, 06:11 AM Wah, LCW trashed Zhou WL in the 2nd set 21-4 (sound familiar?) Zhou only managed to get his 3rd pt at the 17th pt.
Chen Long also looking good, 1st set demolished Arbind 21-5. Maybe those watching can fill us in.
flying kangaroo 06-25-2009, 06:24 AM Chin and Wong struggles with Indian pair, they have lost the first set
simonlovers 06-25-2009, 06:59 AM Yang Wei/Zhang Jiewen lost!!!!:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
Dr. Evil 06-25-2009, 07:03 AM Wah, LCW trashed Zhou WL in the 2nd set 21-4 (sound familiar?) Zhou only managed to get his 3rd pt at the 17th pt.
Chen Long also looking good, 1st set demolished Arbind 21-5. Maybe those watching can fill us in.
Zhou must be China's future Lindan, very considerate drama king. He decided to let Chong Wei win easier, so everybody will get to go home(or go to sleep) earlier and be able to go to work with some energy tomorrow.......... ZZzzzzzz.........
Sorry, the budak pisang bs just bored me to tears.
Jagdpanther 06-25-2009, 07:05 AM Yang/Zhang lost to a new Japanese pair. Rie Eto/Yu Wakita.
Aw, their name is so cute. Pics please.
simonlovers 06-25-2009, 07:48 AM Vita/Nadya reach QF...18-21,23-21,25-23,.WOW!!!
It's Time to take revenge!!!
CLELY 06-25-2009, 08:40 AM Wow, MAS has 5 MD representatives in quarterfinal, 4 of 5 pairs at top-half draw will face each other tomorrow...
robin7 06-25-2009, 08:49 AM Wow, MAS has 5 MD representatives in quarterfinal, 4 of 5 pairs at top-half draw will face each other tomorrow...
That guarantees MAS has at least a rep in the finals.
Chibot 06-25-2009, 08:52 AM Too bad Chandra/Rendra lost to KKK/TBH
jasonmarc 06-25-2009, 09:26 AM Its hard to see Saina win back to back titles which require able mind and body. Saina is very tired. WMC has good record against her 4-1 I think
But WMC has to get pass XAY before can play possible Saina........;)
hcyong 06-25-2009, 10:10 AM Match fixing.............:D
Unlikely. In SO, I watched Chinese players fighting tooth and nail against each other, while I had expected some sort of walkover (yes, my bad...). Also, in IO, they had been allowed to have a go at each other. And when they seriously play one another, it is a sight to behold. They play wonderful badminton. Bao v Chen Jin in Singapore was superb.
hcpoirot 06-25-2009, 02:57 PM It will be very unlikely to a match fixing for China players in a small event like this.
Usually match fixing for China team happened in:
Big events like All England and World Championship and Olympiade. It also only happen if their next opponent is tough players and only one of them had best records against that player.
Example: (RUmor or not) Zhou Mi and Zhang Ning in Olympic 2004. They met in SF. In other SF, Camila Martin play against Gong Rui Na and Camila win. Cause Zhang Ning had better record against Camila than Zhou Mi (Zhou Mi lost most of the time when she play Camila), there are speculation that LYB told ZM to lost in SF.
So ZN go to final and win the gold. Thats also why the real reason why ZM went to Hong Kong.
The match fixing also happen when Olympic is months away and China need as many players as possible in Olympic. A country can only have max three players/pairs in each events but that 3 players or pairs had to be rank in top 4.
That also why the rumor said LD let CJ win All England last year cause CJ need the point to stay in top 4 and LD position is already secure in top 4, win or not win All England last year.
2wheels04 06-25-2009, 04:56 PM Ratchanok leads Saina 1 game to nil.
Can there be an upset by the youngster???
Looks to me that Nehwal fights hard when she is trailing, has more focus and smarter plays. Most of her recent match record is either straight wins (in 2) or loose 1st then take the rubber.
pjswift 06-25-2009, 09:07 PM This is Saina's third tournament so she would be very tired soon.If she meets WMC, WMC's likely to take her along. WS champion likely in the other half.(But I've been wrong many times in this tournament.) Saina's advantage is her INA coach's a sharp tactician.

Camila martin got her silver medal in Sidney, not Athens. it was Mia Audina who lost to zhang ning in 2004 athens olimpic games WS final and got her 2nd silver......
 :D
suetyan 06-25-2009, 11:26 PM For those who are curious about ZL's retired, here you go for the fact. She said she is suffering from knee injury, quite serious also...
gemini12 06-25-2009, 11:31 PM Zhu Lin did not played her usual game yesterday and it was not surprising she decided to gae a walkoer for whateer reason.
Yesterday Tan Chun Seang took adantage of a good draw and hopes he can get pass Chen Long today. Should be an interesting match. Chong Wei match despite a large following it was an easy match.
No major upset. Though i considered Lydia Cheah game interesting. Today she played better. Both standard are equal but at the end it is Fu Ming Tian who had the edge for that game. It was later learned that Lydia has sustained a knee injury during her game with Sapsiree. She was found at the rest room with an ice pack on her knee and ankle.
Malaysia got a good chance to take 4 champions if eerything goes well. It will be MS, MD and WS or WD.
Lets hope for the best. I hope the malaysian fans in JB will come in big crowd to cheer for their home player. I be there.

but WMC injury had always been bothering her..so i think this should be 50-50:cool:
