MD QF
Bona Septano/Mohd Ahsan [1] v a Phil pair -- another breeze for the top-seed who have the easiest draw!

Fernando Kurniawan/Lingga Lie vs Shen Ye/Chen Zhiben -- one of the more interesting matches to look out for. I hope Edo/Lingga can beat the CHN pair!

Hendra Aprida Gunawan/Alvent Yulianto Chandra [5] vs Rian Sukmawan/Yonathan Suryatama Dasuki [2] -- the clash of the day! AG/Alvent have the edge!

WD QF
Meiliana Jauhari/Shendy Puspa Irawati [1] vs Pia Bernadet Zebadiah/Debby Susanto -- Mel/Shendy have the chance to go all the way to the Final!

XD QF
Hendra Aprida Gunawan/Vita Marissa v Qiu Zihan/Deng Yuting -- a tricky tie for AG/Vita, but, but their experience, another SF place should be within reach!

Muhammad Rijal/Debby Susanto v Wong Wai Hong/Koon Wai Chee [2] -- Rijal/Debby to progress to the SF

actually i really adore Alvent..but i will give my support for Ryan/Yoke to win this match as they are now in Pelatnas..i think Pelatnas players have much brighter future than professionals..Alven n Vita are my all time favourite players but if they play a match against Pelatnas players,i will totally support Pelatnas players..till now,i still hope they will change their mind n coming back to Pelatnas..they both are great players n the juniors need to learn much from them both..

Wang Xin's coach is still in the local club, right?

I remember that Wang Xin said many times that she would stay in the national team for not long, the purpose is just for preparing the national games. In China, you gotta be in Li Yong Bo's personal inside circle before admitted in the national team. Wang Xin had never thought in the national team, she's a totally outsider. But Wang Xin had been in top 3 in China for 3 consecutive years, therefore, she was accepted in a formal competition within all the national players from team 1 and team 2, amazingly, she defeated them all, she was the best in that round of competition, therefore, by regulation, she went to the 1st team immediately. Usually a player has to be admitted first to the 2nd team, then the 1st team. Wang Xin was an exceptional because she defeated everyone in both team 1 and team2.

Of course, her life in the national team would not be easy, she understood that, so she said her goal was not compete internationally, but just for preparing the national game, and she will go back to the local club after the national game.

That's just what she said, (for not irritating other players), if she's doing good, she could stay longer, who knows ?!

A friend texted me saying Gao/Wei won the second set 21-13.

Oh no! They could end up like Trikus/Minarti who got tired at the third set. My friend said that they're really really impressive, especiall with their age.

yes, I did mention part of it before :D Chen Weihua is her province team coach. Before LD was admitted to the national team, he was trainned under Chen Weihua too. Wang Xin's current coach is Zhang Ning :D I mention Han Jingna is because she is the second team coach and her favourite student is Wang Shixian. Normally, when the match involves 2 chinese players, the coach will not intervene. However, last week Malaysia Grand Prix, Han Jingna did give some hints or eye signal to Wang Shixian in the final match. Poor Wang Xin...

thanks for the info. I think what Hang JN did was quite understandable, and also reasonable.

Each player should have their own coach, no matter which team.

Besides, Zhang Ning is a super player, though, her job as a coach, has not delivered any thing good yet. So I doubt she would be a good coach. I think the current team 1 women single almost collapsed. All the team 1 women singles are losing their forms, even though they were all very good before coached by Zhang Ning.

Han Jingna seems to be a very smart lady.

China only send their junior team (except for JYJ and GL/WYL) here and they almost dominate this tournament.

Shen Ye (22) and Wang Xin (24) are not Junior either. Not sure about Sun Junjie. He's been around for at least 2 years so should be similar to Shen Ye.
