Me too! (but I haven't moved to York)
Hey WWC thanks for the referral :),
Hey Tammy,
I play mixed, doubles and singles. I practice on tues, thurs and fridays 6:30-8:30 however practice is only for Varsity team members sorry. Tammy i'm guessing your a girl? Don't get me wrong i'm just assuming your a girl by your name. If you're looking for a female doubles partner i would suggest trying to play in a more competitive environment like at Rosemount Community Centre or at George Brown College. I play at George Brown on Sundays from 4-8pm however they also have badminton on tuesday and thursday nights. I think it's from 7-10 pm. i hope this helps. Oh for rosemount community centre it's monday, wednesday, friday, saturday and sunday.
Cheers,
Nick
Tammy 10-09-2002, 01:00 PM WWC, I go to U of Toronto though, (computer science, almost finished). I got a job at York and am working there. It's a very nice place.
Nick, Thanks for the info. I don't think I have time for varsity practice and I'm not that advanced :) GBC sounds good. How does the club work (membership fee? drop-in fee?) Do people take turn every 15 min?
shaun, I just sent you an email.

Interesting ... Another York U, in England. I'll have to add "Canada" next time I mention it :)
Hey tammy GBC membership fee goes by every 6 months. 100 dollars for half a year. So it's a pretty good deal considering the competition. It's round robin. Here's a tip get to know everyone so you don't get left out of the loop. Drop by this sunday i'll be there. I'll be the one with the huge yellow volki bag :). Hope this helps. Sundays turn out will be from 4-8 pm. See ya.
Cheers,
Nick

When I went to Toronto, I used to say I came from "london" on being introduced to people.
Without fail I'd have to explain "London..........England!"!

nSmash 10-10-2002, 02:02 PM Hey Nick, what's the guest fee and policy at George Brown?
The Guest fee is 7 dollars Nsmash and policy? I don't think there is one however try to where pieces of clothing that is one colour instead of multiple colours. Follow the OBA rules. Hope this helps.
Nick
nSmash 10-10-2002, 02:35 PM Thanks Nick!

Stingy 07-05-2006, 12:54 PM Woot! More York people! I used to be on the exec council for the club. I'm graduating this year. The club normally runs during the school term from 1:30-4:30 on Monday, Thursday and Friday. It doesn't run in the summer but some people still play.
If you want to play there just go, borrow a net and play. Bring your own racquet and birdies, ofcourse.
The fee for non-York people is $5 and you need a York person to sign you in.
Muttsy 11-15-2006, 10:40 PM stingy is right, i am currently the secretary executive of the club, check out www.yorku.ca/yubc (http://www.yorku.ca/yubc) for more details, there are all levels of players to meet your standard
kwansyip 11-16-2006, 01:52 AM I live in Montreal, going to visit Toronto on Dec 2 & 3. I will have like 4 hours free time on Dec 3rd, from 9:00am to 1:00pm. I wanted to meet some badminton players on the court, my hotel is very close to York University.
I am going alone, so anyone interested? or where can I find courts and players during the weekend?
Muttsy 11-16-2006, 07:51 AM sorry the club is closed in december for exams
