interesting early MS matches:

R3 - LCW vs NTM - LCW could be out early again if he's not careful.

R3 - LD vs BCL - BCL is unlucky to get LD in his quarter, early exit here. same goes for PG in the QF.

R3 - BP vs PSH - a replay of the Sin Open SF, should be another exciting game.

LCW Vs Kuncoro
Gade vs LinDan
Chen Jin vs Choon Hann

SF:

Winner : TH :D

Ill probably be wrong in the SF although i really do hope that LD loses :P

Chen Jin vs Choon Hann

They will meet each other in R16. The winner should face either Simon Santoso [13] or Joachim Persson [7] in the QF. Simon himself should clear the first 2 rounds without much problems.

As for Sony Dwi Kuncoro [6], he should also clear the first 2 rounds, followed by either Chetan Anand [15] or Hong Ji Hoon in R16. Lee Chong Wei [1] should await him in QF.

I have to say that Taufik Hidayat [4] does have a very favorable draw all the way till QF, where he's slated to meet either Boonsak Ponsana [16] or Park Sung Hwan [8]. If he can either player, he should meet Chen Jin [2]. There's absolutely a good chance for him to enter the Final yet again

Let me start with INA's WS and WD.
Maria Kristin Yulianti [15] -- she's given a good draw in the first 2 rounds and in R16, she will meet Pi Hongyan [8] for a place in the last 8. If Maria Febe can beat Pi, I hope Maria Kristin can also follow suit! Wang Yihan [4] will await her in the SF.

Adriyanti Firdasari -- she should clear the first round, but Lu Lan [7] awaits her in R32.

Meiliana Jauhari/Shendy Puspa Irawati [9] -- straight-forwards opponents in the first 2 rounds, followed by Ma Jin/Wang Xiaoli [6] in R16.

Nitya Krishinda Maheswari/Greysia Polii [13] -- they should reach R16 but Du Jing/Yu Yang [5] await them.

INA's XD:
Nova Widianto/Liliyana Natsir [2] -- they are lucky to avoid Zheng Bo/Ma Jin [3] in their half of the draw. Instead, they are slated to face He Hanbin/Yu Yang [4] whom they have beaten many times so far. They should clear the first 2 rounds, followed by either V. Diji/Jwalla Gutta [8] or Robert Mateusiak/Nadiezda Kostiuczyk [12] in QF. If they can reach the Final, either Zheng/Ma or the top-seed Lee Yong Dae/Lee Hyo Jung will await them. Let's hope Nova can retire with a 3rd World Championships title!

Devin Lahardi/Lita Nurlita [16] -- they should fulfill their seeding without any problem, but then Thomas Laybourn/Kamilla Rytter-Juhl [7] will await them in R16.

INA's MD:
Markis Kido/Hendra Setiawan [1] -- a first match against Tsai Chia-Hsin/Hu Chung-Hsien, followed by probably Cho Gun Woo/Yoo Yeon Seong and Mohd Fairuzizuan Mohd Tazari/Mohd Zakry Abdul Latif [8] in the QF. If they can reach the SF, then either Lars Paaske/Jonas Rasmussen [3] or Cai Yun/Fu Haifeng [6] await them for a place in the Final. Not easy at all.....

Bona Septano/Mohd Ahsan [7] -- a bad draw for then, with a first match against Guo Zhendong/Xu Chen. If they can beat Guo/Xu, they should reach QF and probably face Jung Jae Sung/Lee Yong Dae [4].

Rian Sukmawan/Yonathan Suryatama Dasuki [11] -- Rian/Yoke also have a tricky first match against Chai Biao/Liu Xiaolong. If they can beat Chai/Liu, then, they should reach R16 where Mohd Fairuzizuan Mohd Tazari/Mohd Zakry Abdul Latif [8] await them.

The draw looks pretty fair in most categories except in mens singles. The upper half is packed with quality players. One quarter even have Lin Dan, Bao Chunlai and Peter Gade in it, 3 players when at their best would be ranked top 5 in the world.

If Chen Jin is in form he may very well take advantage of this favorable draw and go all the way and beat a tired LD or LCW in the final. Having Joachim Persson seeded as number 7 is a big joke in my opinion and gives an indication of that the seedings in some cases aint reality but just an indication of how many tournaments you have played or how many favorable draws you have gotten.

Tired LD ? You can say that again. LD will actually have to work if he want to win this WC, seing how he always gets bypasses from other chinese players before finals.

You are problary right. Even Lin Dan can loose some energy if he is to fight both Bao, PG and LCW. LCW is very close to Lin Dan in terms of skill and maybe even levels Lin Dan in terms of fitness so Lin Dan will have to be 110% ready if they are to meet in the semifinals. Li Yong Bo may yet again have to sacrifice some of his countrymen in order to let China have the biggest chance of capturing most gold medals.

Sayaka is only #6 in Japan. Then, a country can send 3 players if they all are ranked in top 24 (and 4 players - if they all are in top 8). So, Japan can send only 2 WS, that's what they did.
