Hi Jonas,

When you're playing badminton professionally, will your mental attitude still be the same before each match, regardless who your is opponent ? Or do you tend to take it easy if your opponents are not very well known?

For example, let's say you're playing against a double pairs whom you've never heard of before, and they're from a coutry that is not known for being a strong in badminton. Since you're one of the top badminton players in the world, will you still be prepared to give your 100% effort when playing against them? Or will you take it easy and treat it as a warm up match? If this is the case, have you ever made a mistake of under estimating your opponents in a Grand Prix Tournament?

Everytime I play a match, nationally or internationally, I give my best.

Iīve had negative experinces in the past when I didnīt take my opponent seriously enough.

Especially, in international matches thereīs a lot of good players around and you cannot afford to lose your concentration.

I donīt underestimate my opponent because heīs from a country not normally good at badminton.

Everytime I play I do my best to win and if Iīdidnīt do that I, proberbly, didnīt have the position I have.

Kind Regards
Jonas

Actually, some days you cannot give your 'best'.

Why does this happen?

How can you turn the situation around?

One example is your defeat to the M'sians in the 1st round in M'sia.

Is it all due to psychology?
