You have to go to a local sports-shop. They will normally do it.

well he asked how to print on a yonex shirt. so assuming the shirt is yonex but it doens't have a logo on the back, he is asking whether he could print the logo to imitate the LCW's shirt in the pic.

You're free to put your name on a Yonex shirt or any other brand. However, unless you have the express permission of the brand to use their logo then you are in fact breaking the law under copyright legislation.

You're thinking too much about the copyright. Who the hell would go after some small fry at the backside of the world. Paul, I guess you cannot sleep, because you are offending some medieval british law somehow, somewhere :D
Just print whatever they are ready to print and what you like. Usually T-shirt shops, that print funny logos, pictures etc. do also the job.

Technically, it's the trademark and not copyright law. In most cases nobody cares but that does not make it legal. Question is, why will you bother to pay to advertise for Yonex anyway?

Hm, going by the trademark line, it does not make it illegal either. If one would produce the shirts for sale or tries to register the TM, then it would be illegal, I doubt it is illegal for personal use.

OK, interesting comments. However, I do represent Yonex as I am sponsored by them.

I wanted to get my racquets and tracksuits printed up and had to get their permission.

My local printing company refused to print the logos until they had written permission from Yonex.

Whether it's english law or international law, the law states you cannot reproduce a logo which is a registered trademark without the permission of the trademark company.

Let's face it, people have done it who couldn't care whether they broke the law or not.

All I'm doing is relaying my experience to date. Frankly it wouldn't bother me if the enquirer went ahead and did it. Likewise it wouldn't bother me if they got done for it.

Yonex is becoming very protective of their brand and the copying of its brand. At the moment this is aimed more towards the unscrupulous merchants copying clothing and racquets to sell at a profit. They are policing ebay and the likes heavily these days.

Whether you agree with my opinion or not is up to you. I was merely pointing out what I believe to be right to save the writer of the post from potential problems.

All the best

No I'm not an international player. I'm an advanced coach and specialise in working with juniors.
