Hi JR

The only thing that I can see so far is the 2002 official site (but not much posted:

http://www.dutch-open.nl

And usually they posted the draws on the following site (at least for 2001) but no sign of the 2002

http://www.toernooi.nl/

I will continue to look for any new porting and let you know if I see anything.

the draw is posted in worldbadminton.net

Jonas, i don't see you name in MD, have you given up? :)

you and Rikke will be up against Simon Archer and Marina Andrievskaya in the 1st round. bad draw... it will be a tough match. the weakness in that pairing is of course Marina. saw her in the US Open. she is very tall, but i don't see that she has much of a mixed doubles mind-set. if Rikke can dominate the net, and i believe she can with her vast experience, you guys will have a very good chance.

hey, since she's your partner, how about invite Rikke to this forum to chat with us?

110%.

Marina is a singles player, so I would say that Rikke has already won the battle of the net...

And yeah, inviting Rikke is a super idea!

interesting though. i thought Simon played with Marina in the US Open as a scratch pair. now they are playing another higher star tourney together. has England run out of good mixed partner for Simon? and Marina isn't a great mixed player either. so i don't see the reasoning here...

Hmmm... Marina can actually play mixed quite well. I didn't see any of the US Open matches, so I can't comment on them. Although she's mainly a singles player, she does play a lot of doubles and mixed in the national leagues. I've seen her play mixed in several matches in the Swedish elite series. When she plays with one of her "regular" mixed plartners, it's almost like level doubles; she's very strong at the back of the court so there is more rotation than one usually sees in mixed doubles. Very unorthodox, but it works pretty well. But I think when faced with somebody like Rikke who is just so superior at the net, Marina and Simon will have trouble...

Well, of course Jonas alone would mean trouble to them, but add Rikke and it's more than a mouthful! :)
