Hey Jonas...
Since you are a international player, I would like to ask you a few questions...
umm.. What do you think is the most important factor that makes a difference between a champion and a player who tends not to get past the first round....
Is it consistency? Mental? Fitness? or Tatical...
I know these are all important factors.. but what do you think is the most important.. this is merely asking for opinion.. just getting advice...
Also...What is your advice on this... There is this opponent who's Stamina is better than me by a lot.. and tatically he has a good tatical coach.. what do you suggest me to do? Like what factors of my game?.. This is a singles game.. and if u dont have to answer this question if ya don't want to..
Thx for your time
Xero
The mental side of the game is THE most important thing to work on.
If you donīt believe you can win you will not win!!
Sometimes itīs as simple as that.
Try improving your mental skills by reading books and listening to tapes on the subject!!

Is that what the Danish team do?
Do the Danish team regularly see a sports psychologist?

Hi,
I have a question for Jonas. Can you recomend any specific books for me that I can read to work on the mental aspect?
I only know the danish books.
Try finding something with NLP Neuro Linguistic Programming which is the english term of what Iīm using.
Here you might some interesting stuff to get you going.
There are many roads to take and you need to try some before you find the right one or at least know some of the other ways first.

Hi,
I just came back from a tournament. It was one of those flight tournaments tat we have here in northern california. I lost to the same guys that I lost to about 6 months ago at jr. nationals. Our match was really close. we played 2 games (set each time), the score was 16-18.
Why do u think this is happening to me? First, I loose to the same people who i had lost to before, even though, I train harder and for a longer period of time than they do, and second, everytime when we reach a score of 14 all, I end up loosing that match.
Thanks!
I think itīs because when you get to 14 all you think you will lose because you did the same last time.
You need to start to imagine yourself winning the matches that are close and maybe accept that you cannot win them all but itīs more than possible you will win more than half.
Start by saying to yourself that you will win the tough at practise and this is more important than winning big. If you can win the close matches in training you can also do it in competition.
You need to think positively of next time instead of thinking you lose next also because thatīs what you did last time.
Next step would be to picture yourself beating your opponent 18/16 instead of losing 16/18. The more you prepare yourself for the next time mentally the bigger your chances are of winning the tight matches.
