Seems so many ppl loves Yonex Boron-2. I've read tons of posts talking about how expensive and valueable this racket now these days...

Just wonder, why not Yonex consider "re-open" their manufacture lines for Boron-2 these days? Won't that bring their tons of $$$ as profit, and let the "badminton community" start a "firework celebration"??? :confused:

I think if Yonex starts making the boron-2, the price for the old generation Boron-2 wil drop, which is bad for us old boron-2 owner. :D:D

When I bought my boron-2 13 years ago, it only cost US$75. I would the boron-2 is decent. It is a slight head heavy racket and it is quite flexible. However I like my MP77 better because I can string my MP77 with higher tension. I would want to string my boron-2 pass beyond 22lbs. It IS a pretty old racket. :)

Agree with Kwun. I remember I read some review on this site, ppl talking about spent $400 something, and still on the "back order" list.

If a racket can worth this much, it's surely a fantastic "weapon" to own, and a favorite for collectors.

Its amazing how much some people spend on old rackets. But as these Boron-2s get older, they become antiques (sp??) and their value for those who want them increase. So some people are prepared to pay higher prices.

If Yonex decide to bring back the Boron-2, the value of it would fall again due to the increased supply.

A good example of this would be the Cab20. The old traditional Cab20 was very popular around its time and still is. Like now, those people who have cab20s can't sell them for much more than they bought them for if not less. The reason for this is because Yonex Japan have re-introduced the Cab20. So the Cab20 is now again available in Japan. But with a new logo and slightly different colour.

My gosh, i'm sounding studious! argh!! thats not me... hehehe For those who know me well, eg Iris and Modious and Mongoose and all know that i'm a real lazy @$$. So its unlike me.... But what to do? Can't play so can only talk.....

Oh btw, note to all who get injuries, see a specialist!! not a GP!! My wrist injury turned out not to be tenosynovitis! its torn ligaments and a minor bone fracture!

HK$4000 is new for CN version. This price works!!!!:eek:

I think the re-make boron 2 can still sold at HK$1000. Some bodys have bought the old logo cab 21 and the new logo cab 20 at HK$800 in Hong Kong.

I remembered that when I was in elementry school, I badly injuried my wrist when I was playing soccer. It took me 3 months to just be able to hold my fork tightly again.

Winex make a Boron 2 copy. Does it feel similar to the YY boron 2?

I am pretty sure I have the CN version because I bought in Hong Kong.

I don't know how you can tell, though.

bought in HK does not imply you have a CN version. the ones in HK regular retail stores are SP. if you had bought it through a special channel, meaning, through someone who has connection with the chinese team, then you may have a CN..

Look at the cone of your racket. There should be a serial no. followed by either SP, HK, CN, JP, etc. It's that easy.

But older Yonex rackets don't have serial numbers do they?? Hmmm.....

Highly doubt it's CN because you don't seem to know much abt CN, JP, SP, etc. CN/CP is not so easily found in HK.

Just checked my Boron-2 and the number on the cone is "108 IN". It is a 2UG4 racquet.

I wonder if that is the actual serial number. "IN" could mean indonesia.

IN quality is also very good. I have 1 Boron 2 IN before, as goog as the CN one.

The Winex boron 2 like Cab 20 rather than Yonex boron 2. :(

It seems that BBE Sports will sell BORON 2 (CN version)... price not indicated though...
