..the pretenders have been separated from the contenders..and the table has been set to determine who is/are the best of the contenders..

For the INA squad, my hunch tells me, Taufik and Nova & Liliyana will be the only 2 representatives who are going to advance & enter the Finals Rd. Since we won't have a LCW vs. LD match, a LD vs. TH rematch of their 2005 WC seems to loom on the horizon will be more than welcomed. It was a great win for Sony over LCW & I'd really like Sony to beat LinDan, but i just can't see it happening, esp. with Sony's extended QF match vs. LCW. It will take a toll on him, but i'd expect him to give LinDan a run for his money.
What Sony can do to assist Taufik is to extend his match to 3 games and exert as much energy from LinDan.
As for Taufik, he needs to win the 1st game, if he's to have any chance.

As for the rest:
LYD to advance in both of his events. And CY & FHF to challenge them.
It will be an all CHN WS Final.

And last but not least: for the sake of all of us BCers trying to follow the matches online, can we have a reliable broadcaster to stream the matches??? CCTV5-helloooo??..:(

Based on the playing form of the players so far, I have to say that China is already guaranteed WS title together with the WD title they already won yesterday.

As for XD, the signs are for the Korean World No 1 to take the title, probably playing against the Danish Fischer/Pedersen duo. Sorry, I don't think Nova/Lily is good enough given that they struggled a bit against Malaysians and practically given the game away by the off-form Indians. However, Danes aren't that stable too, it depends on how good Pedersen is playing.

MS is a probable all-China affair, unless TH can show all his magic. So far he hasn't needed to use all his arsenal and it is difficult to predict his form.

MD will probably see the end of the Malaysian challenge, and KOR and CHN to contest for the final. Koo/Tan still lack some belief and should have lost the q-final match yesterday, Koreans won't be so charitable. In fact Zakry/Fairuzizuan has a better chance of beating CHN.

MS: Chen Jin looks shaky in this tournament, meanwhile Taufik is in good performance. Lin Dan will prevail from Sony, since there is no gas left in his tank.

WS: XXF rocks!!!! She definitely in form. There is only little chance for Pi to overcome Xie. Lu Lan seems on her peak performance too. and not to forget our insider info from Suetyan that Lu Lan is the best WS and very well prepared in training before WC

MD: quite clear, Lee/Jung and Fu/Cai will prevail. MK/HS withdrawal surely helps Fu/Cai pathway to Final

WD: My heart says ZTT/ZWW will win against BCers's favorit Du/Yu. Thay have good form and Du/Yu performance little bit shaky when agains Nitya/Greysia. Meanwhile Ma/Wang has impress me with their excelent performance for newcomer in World Championship

TH clearly lack fitness
..it was obvious from the 1st game..Taufik tried to speed up the game but to no avail. Then tried trick shots but no luck. Then the rest of his game, incl. net game, fell apart..

He was used to use this tactic against PG some year ago.

Lifting every shuttle and pushing every shuttle to the rear court with time-lag with opponent replacement. After that, it's really a matter of fitness which TH seems to be lacking of.

I hate CJ when he plays like that. So boooooooooooring to watch and absolutely uninteresting. I'd like to see him playing like he did during HK Open final against LD.
