Well, its highly understandable with regards to the outpouring of emotions for ZTT and ZYW. They ( as partners, as well as with previous pairings) have come close so many times but for once, they have landed the BIG one. In terms of difficulty, and historical memory, not much else is bigger ( in modern terms .. as the AE has since been eclipsed in prestige) other than the Olympics.

Also, having had to live in the shadows of 3~4 legendary doubles ( Ge Fei / Gu Jun, Zhang Jiewen/ Yang Wei, Gao Ling/Huang Sui) pairs first as juniors and then as senior squad players, they have held much promise but never really had the chance to shine.

For once, their turn has come. It has been so many years.... wouldn't you cry if you were them ? :confused:

After today's performance from Nova, it's very clear that he lacked the confidence when he faced pairs whom have beaten them many times, including Laybourn/Rytter-Juhl; Lee/Lee; and Zheng/Ma.
