Congratulations! Just watched the ceremony with 4 national flags, what a sight! I suppose with Team CHN coming one has to prepare with 4 flags just in case needed. As for the others, may be 1 for ENG, DEN and a couple for KOR & INA. of course, none for MAS.

..but then again, it's not a surprise CHN WD squad has dominated this event, literally, yr in and yr out..The other nations could only provide a few blips here and there on the map in WD..

hmm.. if Tian Qing/Pan Pan were not replaced by Ma Jin/Wang Xiaoli. Do you think China can have four semi finalists? Haha... Tian Qing/Pan Pan are so inconsistent.

Yeah. The competition is more which China WD pair will win. The #1 spot on China woman's team is not secure, whether it's ZN, XXF, YW/ZJW, DJ/YY, CS/ZYL, ZYW/ZTT or somebody else, so the #1 can't be complacent.

In comparison, the #1 spot in other leading competitors' woman's team is more stable. Tine, WMC, Pi, Zhou Mi, Lee/Lee, Chin/Huang has no threat to their #1 spot on the team.

..checking the WD draw again, if Tian Qing & Pan Pan were the ones going, and if they were seeded in the same exact spot as CS & ZYL, then yes, they might have a chance. Notice also, Cheng Su & Zhao Yunlei had to go the full match against TPE's CWH & CYC in the Semis this yr..
But then, we don't know where CS & ZYL would be seeded..

I am really happy for ZYW and ZTT, they truly deserved this LONG-AWAITED title.......................they were always beaten or over-shadowed by either GaoLing/HS or YangWei/ZJW........now that they have got the world title and they will have no more regrets when they retire in 1-2 years time :)

zhang ya wen were so emotion and can't stop crying after won the wc yesterday:);)
aww.,

i like zhao tingting.
after she lost in the bronze medal match with wei yili in '04.
she did not get a fair chance to really build a pair either in
WD or XD.

in the WC games she showed her strong defense and attack (04-09 after so many years). she deserved the title. sadly, in the press interview after medal ceremony, she said this might be her last world champs.

Hopefully she'll stay!
