Last week i read and overheard conversations that LCW lost to Sony coz he was afraid to meet Lin Dan (basically thinking to much about the nxt match that he could not focus on his current match againts Sony).
So in this weeks Chen Jin loss to WCH, was Chen Jin overly distacted about having to face LCW whom I believe he has a torrid record againts?
Let's discuss...

If you watch the SC09 match between LCW and LD, you will know that LD's body language betrayed his fear of LCW (but LCW was unaware of that).
LCW's stupidity (or rather, MAS coaches' ) was to take Sony for granted.
No matter how superior a player is, it is important to understand that in the NSS, the more highly rated one can be derailed by the opponent's brilliant tactics as long as the opponent has the skills to execute it.
This time, WCH did it to CJ. But CJ has never been impressive. He has been taken to 3 games by more than enough opponents recently. His advantage has been his stamina and his luck in the draw. He has been drawn regularly to meet the same old, unimaginative foes like SS, TH and WCH.
Until finally,WCH hit the right brainwave and CJ's luck ran out.

Haven't heard "Choon Hann on fire" since 2003-2004, hopefully he doesn't have bloody nose after the match :D
Lets see Choon Hann's fire is hot enough to melt Chong Wei in the Final. I on;y hope for a close match, not asking too much.

Cos got people also say LCW fear playing LD, trauma or psy effect from OG lost..after lose many times, got psy disadvantage. Normal lah, people will say2 either way.
ANd jugman, yeah, it was in the press intv with Misbun, Misbun said LCw was thinking too much, already think abt match with LD, not from over confidence but the pressure of winning the WC for the 1st time for Msia.
So, when Sony played so well in countering LCW, LCW ....... 'kelam kabut blur' (my expression, not Misbun):D
By right LCW neednt worry so much at that point cos KKK/TBH & FUzzy were already thru to semi then. LCW had company to 'share' the burden.

Ppl, it's time to give non-Malaysian players some grief for a change. Let's dissect some players psyche and reveal their inner fears. No badminton plyer are perfect, even China players.
Let's start by exposing Chen Jin

The thoughts which could creep in when we let a bit too much imagination play in our mind..let's see..
- I wouldn't say LCW feared of meeting LD which caused his loss vs. Sony. But yes, i think he was thinking a bit ahead to his upcoming match vs. LD which caused him to lose focus and his mind probably went blank when he played against Sony.
- I don't think CJ was overly distracted abt having the possibility to face LCW, when he lost to uncle Wong this past week.
- When Taufik lost to CJ in straight games last week, in the WC, was he in fear of facing LD in the Final??..
- When Taufik lost to LCW in straight games this week, in the Macau Open, was he in fear of facing CJ, once again, or semi-old uncle Wong in the Final??..

The only reason I can think of CJ feared LCW and lost in SF on purpose is that he thought LCW might break his leg at the match. :D:D:eek::eek: Even I'm not afraid of LCW even I know he will beat me 21-0, 21-0. :)

Hahahaha mopre like LCW was busy dreaming and wetting his pants when he thought "Damn I have to face the mighty Lin Dan even if I beat Sony, how can I conserve some energy to make it a decent game.... not like Sudirman's cup where I just can't do it"
HAHAHAAHA LD fear LCW???
In your wildest most deluded dreams.

He will always be traumatized, after so many years and being in final after final he just can't do it. His body will give up soon.

When I first read this statement, it sounded like that CJ just gave the victory to WCH and that WCH didn't do much to win. That's unfair for WCH as he must have worked hard on his victory against CJ.

Result speak, who won the WC? Which country won more event in WC?
No need to argue, there is only 1 winner at each tournament. You want to be that winner, you must beat ALL your opponents in what ever way.
