Nike "free" are definitely not developed for indoor sports such as badminton.

No. Look for asics gel badminton shoes. They are good but be careful if u are heavy, if heavy u have to get the heavy duty ones. Try the asics gel tactic, it got gel pack in both the fore and heal of the foot (over here its orange and white in color). Good grip also.

I got my addidas for $30 they are pretty decent, have a fine yellow rubber sole and just do the job for me. If you are not really that technically about "must-have super mega ultra sponge sole" then browse around your local shoe stores. Check out sport mart, they have Asics indoor court shoes (with rubber sole) and are pretty good for abour $59-69 (YMMV). Unless you are really really pro maybe then consider top of the line yonex shoes. Just my $0.02.

definately would not reccomend them for badminton. They are designed for marathon running. And only provide support for straight line running. Side to side quick jolting movements in badminton will not be accounted for and the shoes will either die very quickly or your ankles will give out causing injury.

They are super light, and have a decent cushioning system but as i said they are designed to counter "straight line" running. And specifically for marathon legs.

DONT GET THEM!

they are not too bad because they are a specific indoor shoe. just dont get ones which are too cheap otherwise the quality and support in the shoes are non-existant.
