New Yonex apparels for LCW, Taufik, P. Gade

According to the Yonex Japan website Lee Chong Wei, Taufik Hidayat and Peter Gade are going to wear the following new Yonex attires. Lee Chong Wei (blue), Taufik (Red), Peter Gade (White) and all three of them will wear the black attire. The last picture is an impression of how they look with their clothes. They may just start wearing them in the Japan Open SS.

Some how the single-sleeve top just doesn't work for me :o.

I like the single sleeve design. But the color combinations is horrible. It doesn't even match with the ugly looking Z Slash(Yellow is not Gold!!!).

Yonex need to fire all their design team, for the second time.

Haha, well, I'm pretty sure they need to have some of them with the single sleeve on the right. I would think the scheme would be that without the sleeve, there is more freedom in arm movement. But as it is, it would only work that way for right-handed players. :p Or else they could wear them backwards, for even more quirky flare! :D

They are already wearing them in the Japan Open SS now. See the links in post #16. They are actually wearing with the original emblems on them. I thought this was going to be personalise by the individual players.

..actually what they'll do is: if you're left handed, they'll cut off the sleeve from the left side, trim it nicely and then sew the cut-off sleeve onto the right side. Voila!:cool:

all i can say is that i can tell she is very excited about her win. ;)

despite what you want to say about her top, one thing always bothered me is why does most of the Asian female players dress like a man. why can't they dress more like the European female players and even their hair dos. not that i am a fashion police but just look at the female tennis players. base on the physical differences and the game itself, women display more a finesse game along with grace. now only if they can dress apart from men and carry that all the way thru with their attires and appearance.

@Shihman : well, as much as I hate it, there's a truth to what you're saying...I don't want badminton to change into a fashion show, but a sometimes a little bit of S does helps up to sell the game..I don't want their jerseys to suddenly changes like Serena Williams' or Sharapova's ( altough, I still can't imagine Butet wearing skirts like Japanese players)..but just add a little bit of styling there won't hurt.....

In Beijing, u can get it directly shipped from Japan. Price around RMB860 (the top only. Pants another RMB460) and waiting time about 15 days. :eek:

Haha Ara, can save the trouble. I compared the Sunrise one vs the original JP ones. The BIG difference is the golden color on each of the 3 tops (white one, black one, and red one). The JP ones are glittering gold (like real gold, shiny) whereas the Sunrise ones are the non shiny / non glittering dull gold. Guess the $$$ difference goes to the golden spray hahahaha
BTW

JP ones is selling at RMB 860 (top only, single sleeve) !!! :eek: = RM 430
Sunrise one in AJ racket mart = Top (double sleeve) = RM46 (10 times cheaper) , Top + Pants = RM 88 While stocks last.

I am already a very happy man to be able to wear the Sunrise version on courts hehehehe.
But will be saving RMB530 (RM 265) for the yellow tiger stripe LCW pro shirt. That is one nice one that only JP has it. But if buy that, cannot wear and play on court ....protect personal image ....skills to suck, if seen wear that and play on court will get wacked by LCW fans .....hahaahahaha

No....that shirt only JP version has it. Camel Sport in Beijing selling at RMB530 (RM265).
If i do buy it, i will frame it up and try ask LCW to sign on it when i go for any tourney match to watch. :D

LDTC good modication work on your half-sleeve shirts. Looks almost like JP version. As for me I am happy with my 2 sleeves white Peter Gade version and that is the only one I own :). I didn't even get the shorts as they remind me too much like basketball shorts which I hate.

So far, my favourite badminton shorts are Victor and Li-Ning.

Print during Msia Open 2010 in Putra Stadium Bkt Jalil. RM8 per stamp. Last time was RM7 in 2008.

LDTC good modication work on your half-sleeve shirts. Looks almost like JP version. As for me I am happy with my 2 sleeves white Peter Gade version and that is the only one I own :). I didn't even get the shorts as they remind me too much like basketball shorts which I hate.

Yes, the black is actually quite nice and besides the blue, red and white they have the beluga colour. Like the colour of caviar as in beluga caviar; lighter shade of black; hence the name beluga I suppose.

The Japanese shirt is the falcon or hawk. In the past, during the middle ages the Japanese nobility's sport is bird hunting using these birds of prey. Initially I thought it was the Japanese Crane but it doesn't look like a crane at all. Yes, the no. is the SS leg of the series.

LCW's black attire "Harry Potter' crest in the trophy has been replaced by Proton's logo. Looks much better. I think this is what is to be expected in the future for Yonex-sponsored players who wear this attire will have that ridiculous crest replaced by their own sponsor's brand.

Hmm I can just envisage Peter Gade's white attire with Ferrari's prancing horse logo there if he is sponsored by Ferrari :D.

LDTC you could try the local ING office in KL but after giving you the sticker they will try to sell you some insurance or investment products :D.

I think any sports shops that offer printing services can do it but probably you need to order a minimum quantity. Well, that's not a problem as you have lots of spares for your other shirts :p.

I heard the number of people in clubs there is constantly increasing, that's good.

Badzine try too make badminton more popular, by organising a "flashmob".

But there's no advert for the WC in the bus or tramway, no ad on the radio...
The federation only focus on doing advertisement for people who are in clubs, but I think they should also popularize the event with people who don't play...

Your will be the first single-left sleeve example. I think any tailor anywhere that do altering can do it. It is a simple tailoring procedure and doesn't take that long. My freind wanted to do the same for his black LCW AE version but the tailor did not have the red cloth border.

Not really, printing/stamp will just need to visit the booth at Bkt Jalil on May for RM8 each.

The really hardcore part is getting the ING logo stamp at front of LCW AE 2010 version. (Now PROTON take over)
Cutting the ING logo from pong pong ball & iron on it. maybe fail.

It would be interesting to see how LCW, PG and TH look in these outfits. Certainly a lot different than what previous Yonex attires they wore. Somehow it feels that the design was influenced by the World Cup "This time is Africa's" theme.

YY want to promote their merchandise thru top player...Good mktg strategy. Whether they perform is up to them. Of course YY hope they can perform so that their sales can go up. Just like what Mee Mee said earlier in TC. When Msia lost to China & their team wear arrived late, their sales were affected but it was sold out on the final day.

Sponsored team wear shirt can really make $$$. Non sponsored shirt like Forest, Cheetah, Sch all like dead fish in dept store.

Alright guys, this is what you have been waiting for quite some time already. The tribal wear for LCW, TH and PG are here. Prices are still tentative but it will be much higher.. I mean much higher than the normal vol. apparel wear. I have the tentative prices but since they are not confirmed, I will not put them here. Sizes are similar to the JP sizing which is smaller than the SP sizes.

These series of clothing does not belong to any vol. series and thus limited in stocks. Once they are sold out, none will be re-ordered. My favourite is the yellow and the white sets followed by the black and red. Somehow the TH red set does not really look as good as the others.

Vol. 15 will follow in the weeks ahead which leaves Vol. 14 like a half-baked collection with only a few pieces to show for it.

I don't think the above is a SP version but the international one as you can see from the sizelabel. All the international VC shirts are Made in China; too bad I don't have a same model in both versions but I think the JP material is better still. You could also see the difference in the JP single sleeve from the international (9300EX) one with the JP having shiny gold material.
Nevertheless the quality is still good of course and it should be for those prices :p.

Yup, for that single sleeve version the difference is very obvious.
too bad the JP version will only arrive later today, my friend couldnt manage to bring them to MO 2011 to compare them.
Hopefully there will be major difference if not those that bought the JPs will be annoyed...

Went down Sportslife today. Brought the new trible wear. Shirt $80 plus, pants $60 plus. Sales lady mentioned that stocks are really limited to a few pcs per size and sleeveless version will not be distributed to local dealers for the time being. She also automatic gave 10% discount.
Another news is that there will be a SP version coming in March. Same design with sleeves but of course, material will not be as good as the JP coded ones, and of course cheaper than the sleeveless version.

From the display, found out the the trible logo on the back of the pants are all white/grey in colour despite for all White/Red/Yellow. Only black bears the golden trible logo.

The version sold at Malaysia Open is the same as those sold in Sportslife, it's like international version I guess. Material is made in China VeryCool, JP material(made in Japan VeryCool) is definitely better hence it's much more expensive ;)

For those who prefer sleeves, your prayers are answered. Tribal wear with sleeves and at a much lower price than the sleeveless range to boot. Of course, quality is not comparable to the sleeveless shirts.

They are also available both with the printed names of the featured pro players or without and prices are the same.
