The Malaysian squad, however, remains a very strong one, including a mixed doubles reprisal of the old partnership of Koo Kien Keat and Wong Pei Tty, who have played together only once since they reached the semi-finals in Paris last fall.

Fran Kurniawan/Pia Zebadiah Bernadet (48), PBSI should not send this pair to SS level, too tough for them as expected many top-names will taking part. Thx for info, badders7!

I'am not agree
They have notional ranking around #20

Some of upcoming players need to compete in high level, better to send more players who has enough ranking to play in main draw like Anneke Feinya/Anissa Wahyuni, Tantowi/Richi also Maria Febe, Andre K.T. and Hayom (when has enough points)

Read somewhere in Bola that XD coach planned to send one individual/pair in back-up team with best achievements to a SS. And it turns out to be Fran/Pia...

Oops, I thought their rank #48 (based on latest WR per 17 September/09)...Yeah, the back-up shuttlers need more experience to feel atmosphere in heavy-weight tournaments.

Been told that Lin Dan may not show up..other entries are chen Long..zhu lin,Jiang Yan qiao..Wang shixian, cheng su/zhao yun l;ei, another 2 Chinese MD..majin/wang xiao Li..

Also some may withdraw and it depends how National Games goes..Zhou Mi may not come as she complkained her full schedule and do not have time to practice but she will come for French Open..( yes..shopping time for everybody)..

Taufik decided not to come as the place is too far and so quiet..haha..which it is true..I know for sure some players and including some chinese players cited lack of food ..
They wish the denmark open is in Copenhagen.....

yup, I know Zhao Tingting will retire and it is confirmed she will retire. I just wonder why LYB split Tian Qing/Pan Pan. If like that, Tian Qing will have no partner. I also heard that Pan Pan's position in the national team is because of his father. That's why you see during the Sudirman Cup 2009, when Zhao Tingting was injured in the first round, she was substituted by Pan Pan. There are so many double players LYB can choose, why Pan Pan is his final choice? And now, the Denmark Open, Zhang Yawen has no partner, so LYB split Tian Qing and Pan Pan. Maybe he thinks that Pan Pan can produce better result with Zhang Yawen? But at least Tian Qing was a WD WJC in 2004, PP did not win any junior champions. :(

nope. She is 25 only. Now she has back to her province team to prepare for the national games. I think her retirement will be announced officially after the national games. Maybe the retirement ceremony will be held in China Open 2009. Same as last year when ZN, GL, WYL, CY, YW and ZJW were retired.

I think LYB just expriences this pair..being told it is not final...
Qian Tian will be more in mix, I heard...
LYB's new boss is coming from table tennis, being told that he will akkow some players go to Macau, Hongkong and Taiwan,,,to make badminton more competitive....as you may realize, some club players are in europe, turkey, etc...
yesterday, there are many chinese coaches are coacing for japanese club, at least 8 of them, so it looked like mni reunion...

yaya, the new boss is from table tennis. I guess you are talking about Cai Zhenhua? I thought those players are voluntarily to play in other country? Because they found in China, it is very competitive and if they were not in the national team, they seldom have a chance to play in international tournaments. So, they decided to leave China. This also includes some young players from Singapore team.

ZTT probaly like XXF just a bit tired playing badminton. They had play international badmintons since they were around 17 years old. So loooonggg ago. Not everyone like ZN who can play such a long time in China squad. The training there must be very hard judging from lots of tapes/ supports of the China players bodies I had see in the events this year.

Yes, just google it: "Zhao Tingting date of birth", and you'll get: "November 28, 1982".
