WHere is Vn?
whack_d_net 09-22-2009, 10:35 AM Hmm... Lots of interesting matches from the very beginning ;)
And lots of possible UPSETs as well :D :D
whack_d_net 09-22-2009, 05:52 PM Unfortunately, LYD and some of CHN players withdrawn from this tourney due to injuries or NG preparations :(
But its quite fortunate for Rian/Yoke as they get free ticket to round 2, though :D
GeNit chance to sailing thru to at least SF also become wide open as DJ/YY as their biggest obstacle also withdrawn :D
However, first round casualties seems like still inevitable for INA camp
DeviL, Firda, MKY, Simon all may be eliminated today :(
But i really hope the result would be the other way around, though :)
Best of luck for all INA players, esp. for mbak jamu MKY
I'm afraid if she lost to Wang Xin today, her WR will dropped even more to outside top 40
Dede_Pran 09-22-2009, 06:11 PM yes....I agree with u...I didn't paw on WX....still have faith on MKY;)
yap. furthermore, INA's coach said that they (WS players) are in really good shape physically, so i think this PAW is quite risky while WangXin won't decline to overcome the OG bronze medalist :D
Dede_Pran 09-22-2009, 06:26 PM Unfortunately, LYD and some of CHN players withdrawn from this tourney due to injuries or NG preparations :(

yes, GeNit has greater chance to meet either Ma/Wang or Chin/Wong (beatable) in semifinal.....
i put high expectation on those who possibly have early exits to win against each opponent as they have betta' preparation, hopefully they prove me right :D
Ajaib 09-22-2009, 08:14 PM JIANG YANJIAO jia youuuu :)
Ajaib 09-22-2009, 08:15 PM all the best to Chinese players...
Dede_Pran 09-22-2009, 08:23 PM yes.. Devil won 1st set n lead 5-1 in 2nd one, hope they prevail...
bennydut 09-22-2009, 08:33 PM yesss....... Devil won against Korean... and goes to Quarterfinal and meet possibly Denmark's pair....
Dede_Pran 09-22-2009, 08:43 PM now.... i'm to cheer uncle Candra Wijaya pairing with Russkikh against the TPE's pair, hope uncle can enjoy with her to win :D
lexluthor1975 09-22-2009, 09:04 PM After leading comfortably in the first set, Shiota/Ikeda finally succumbed to the Korean pair. I was really hoping for Reiko to do well in her home tourney. So sad, we won't be seeing her in the next round :(
Dede_Pran 09-22-2009, 09:08 PM yes.... uncle Candra won, yuhuuuh......while HenVit grabbed 1st set already..........
Dede_Pran 09-22-2009, 09:23 PM i'm really impressed with the running of Russkikh, she's well pairing with Limpele somehow gave a fight and even beaten top pairs, and now with uncle also done as well, i wonder how her playing is, jus looking forward to seeing the video of her.....

Vanuatu ;):rolleyes::):p (take a guess)
madbad 09-22-2009, 09:31 PM yesss....... Devil won against Korean... and goes to Quarterfinal and meet possibly Denmark's pair....
DEVIL... the best nickname for a doubles combo out there :D:D
CLELY 09-22-2009, 09:33 PM yesss....... Devil won against Korean... and goes to Quarterfinal and meet possibly Denmark's pair....
Yup, thanks to the Olympic Champ withdrawal due to Young Dae hand injury. And Devin/Lita QF opponent would be Fischer Nielsen/Pedersen, tough test for INA pair.
bennydut 09-22-2009, 09:34 PM wooow... it's tough between Ahmad Rivai and Chen Long... Hope Rivai win against CL...
CLELY 09-22-2009, 09:37 PM Vanuatu ;):rolleyes::):p (take a guess)
Hmm, I guess VN is Vietnam...:)
jasonmarc 09-22-2009, 09:39 PM Wow, Ahmad Rivai managed to hold CL with a very tigh game.........16 - 16 now..
bennydut 09-22-2009, 09:39 PM Yup, thanks to the Olympic Champ withdrawal due to Young Dae hand injury. And Devin/Lita QF opponent would be Fischer Nielsen/Pedersen, tough test for INA pair.
Yeah, you're right...
Nielsen/Pederson did a huge test against NoLyn in the WC last august in India, they're almost lost to this Denmark's pair... :(
Does anyone has head-to-head between Devil and Nielsen/Pedersen? If I'm not wrong, Devil always lose in their previous meeting against Nielsen/Pedersen..
bennydut 09-22-2009, 09:40 PM No,,, Rivai lose his control and make three points gap...
jasonmarc 09-22-2009, 09:41 PM All INA MS seems well prepared for this JO.........all in good form...
bennydut 09-22-2009, 09:45 PM All INA MS seems well prepared for this JO.........all in good form...

This CHN MD are still in their prime (ca 24 y.o) and they can't even handle veteran, over 30 y.o. INA/half INA pair? Hah!

Oh and don't forget there's still Tony Gunawan, too :p :p
lcleing 09-23-2009, 02:58 AM You two...
Whenever CHN players play, support them till dead.
When INA players play, dead silence.
And you call yourselves Indonesians.
Ah well. Guess some people like you exist.
Ajaib, are you chinese refugee and still cheering them?:confused:
I won't be surprised if Ajaib is of Chinese descendant and support the Chinese team as an Indonesian. Incidentally, I heard of the native Indonesian committing crime like massacre on the ethnic Chinese in Indonesia between 1997 to 1999. If I were a Chineses Indonesian, I guess I will do the same as well. Besides, cheering for his/her favourite players from other countries doesn't make him/her a traitor. So I suggest you guys leave him alone.
whack_d_net 09-23-2009, 03:14 AM Hmm everyone's have their own opinions and fave players as well
So back to topic, please
....
Hmm, BoSan pair also won
IIRC, tomorrow they'll face Rian/Yoke :)
Although i feel bad for LYD's injury,
but had JJS/LYD didn't withdrawn, they possibly whitewashed most of INA's MD
So i guess it's a lucky
Hahaha :D :D
vpsingh 09-23-2009, 03:14 AM Sun/Tao won't be able to show face to anybody in their country.
They are the only Chinese players who lost :D:D:D:D
vpsingh 09-23-2009, 03:21 AM I won't be surprised if Ajaib is of Chinese descendant and support the Chinese team as an Indonesian. Although we talk of sports bringing people together and promoting world peace et al, I usually see people finding enough reason to start a hot argument.
But since this is my first time watching a HOT debate on BC.com, I will sit and enjoy :D:D:D:D
waile 09-23-2009, 03:22 AM just when i thought KKK/TBH are over the japan boogeyman thingy...

Hmm...Maybe the best excuse is pressure from the local fans..:D:DAnyway,KKK/TBH are really not consistent...:(:(
undeadshot 09-23-2009, 03:33 AM KKK/TBH lost in straight sets......Is this the result of staying back to 'train' during China Masters!?:mad::mad:

I got friend here who is chinese-indonesian, but he's proud and support indonesia. he said: someone (german) asked him once about it (1997-1999). he said, he doesnt have any feel to revenge, bcoz not all people did it, and we can't generalized all. and he knew they were used by other people (3rd party) for their benefit in that such situation.
but in sport, especially in this SS, i think no problem, anyone can support thier favourite player.
anyway, keep fighting all INA players...:D
nokh88 09-23-2009, 03:35 AM looks like the japan boogeyman saga continues... wonder what are their excuses and reasons this time...

Good point ;););)
i didn't have good english to said here,, but you said the right thing...
crime to ethnic chinese in indonesia is not just from 1997-1999 but it happened since long time ago here,,, we ( chinese ethnic) are just 2nd class citizen..the government push us to change our name to non chinese name,, then prevent us for learning chinese language,, they closed chinese school,, prevent us to show chinese culture, etc
except for those super Rich Chinese ethnic were their environment was full of educated native indonesia and maybe all around them are same super rich chinese ethnic, they felt small discrimination,,, but for common chinese ethnic,,, it's really hard...
i still remember when my young native indonesian friends laughing at me and say bad thing about my eyes, my skin, my food,etc...., that's a bad memmory for me..some of my friend even get slap, kick... and get abused becoz they were Chinese ethnic...we live with pressure,,,,
but i found that being a Chinese is not my Fault,,, everyone never ask GOD to be born as Chinese ethnics, caucasian, arabians, javanese,, malays,, africa,,, etcs... it's GOD choice,,, and we cannot blame HIM
so,,, when i see Chinese athlete domination the world .. i'm so proud and i can say : "you see, being a chinese ethnic is not a fault,,, Chinese persons and Chnese athlete are superb,, and i will always support them,, loose or win"
i'm proud to be a Chinese ethnic and i'll support them...:cool:
sorry for my bad english :)
PaulYong 09-23-2009, 03:38 AM such disgrace at this moment of time...

Thanks for these open words, I'm sorry for what happened to you, but this kind of ******** of discrimination happens all over the world, Germany is included as one of the worst places, and there is no excuse existing for that, nowhere. While staying in Jakarta I have learned both sides of the coin, and staying for some years in China I got the idea of how they do believe and think, so there is a lot we gotta change, but unfortunately we can't do this in BC forum. Just cheer our favorites for whatever the reason is,e.g. always a bright smile from a country's player you usually don't expect it(like Gao LIng ) , because it's the underdog in a fight which would be boring without supporting him, he or she represets your country or because he or she brought you in touch with the thrill and joy of badminton - like Ina did to me.
lets pray for thrilling sports without games the coaches have set up already before they start and lets cheer up our favorites :D

Hahaha
Yeah of course, as MK/HS is your fave MD pair :p :p
But their 1st match after long hiatus seems a bit shaky and unconvincing though
Hope they can get back to their best shape and rhyme soon :) :)
Well its a bit early to predict, but i totally agree with you,
Hope one of INa pairs can grab MD titles + end the title drought
With CY/FHF and JJS/LYD withdrawn and early exits from KKK/TBH,
I guess the chance is gettin bigger
Let's just wait and see......

Expected their lost,....it means they are still not up to mark as one of the best pair yet....like FHF/CY and LYD/JJS, no inconsistency at all ;)
Anyway,...no harsh words from me to them....dont worry :D
