This SS must be one of the happier ones for INA with 7 appearances in the SF tomorrow and maybe one more for MD which is still in progress. SS did well to beat compatriot Sony and will proceed to the SF with TH.

Unfortunately, can't say the same for MAS, who has no semifinalists as both their teams of MD and WD lost today.

Darkhorse NTM may surprise again with a final appearance. But BCL and TH seem a better bet for the MS final, unless they have to face each other in the semis.

Looking good so far for INA squad, 8 representatives in SF (3 MD, 2 MS, 2 XD, and 1 WD), plus guarantee 2 final spots.
Skipping China Masters is worth enough for pelatnas players. Finally Rian/Yoke could beat Fuzzy pair, their #1 nemesis who beat them in WC. Kido/Hendra gain more confidence after three months hiatus, and have bigger chance since three other best pairs not participated/withdrawn/went home early...
Simon seems more mature, defeating LCW and Sony, altough facing huge task against Taufik. Well, at least one INA player in MS final.
A 25% chance for all INA final in XD, I hope more relaxed Nova/Liliyana (since they're not world #1 anymore and hungry for title) could repeat their WC win against Joachim/Christinna.
Another China great wall for Greysia/Nitya tomorrow, wish all the best for them.
AG/Vita did very well, crushing the world champion in two games. Alvent/AG also did well beating European best MD.

I did suspect this a few years ago and discussed among my friends and it only applies to SS and Gold tournaments but not the major ones or team events.

I'm really impressed with Hendra A.G. in his current age (above 27 y.o.), in the past he was not so good, pairing with Joko Riyadi, but in his age now, furthermore playing in 2 disciplines, he can do more otherwise..
yap. Congrats for AlHen, sigh they'll meet KiNdra in semis, not in final..
- There's really nothing to be impressed in his MD event. Remember also, Hendra A.G. hasn't won any major titles in MD, yet, esp. with his current partner Alvent. And we've yet to see if he can advance to the Finals in this tourney, in both events.
- Hendra A.G.'s success can be partially attributed to his partner, so let's give some credit to Alvent. Yes, Joko is not as stable as Alvent.
- On the other hand, i'm a bit surprised with his XD win (with Vita) over the current WC; and doing it in straight games. With that win, who knows, maybe it'll propel them to win the whole thing.

Darkhorse NTM may surprise again with a final appearance. But BCL and TH seem a better bet for the MS final, unless they have to face each other in the semis.
NTM will square off vs. BCL in the Semis rd. While TH will face off vs. Simon in the other Semifinal match.

Japan Super Series is the come back of the real Indonesian players. They are really showing their real character and quality.

That has been the case for a number of years. Since 2006, INA usually does not win any title until the Asian Championships (usually held in April/May). INA also only 1 SS title in Singapore for the first 10 mths of 2007, followed by 4 in a row in the last 2 SS of the year!
