Hey folks,
just ordered a new sotx woven 7 yesterday and can't wait to try it out. After reading so much about it, my expectations are really high :p
Was just wondering - I asked for BS-963 to be strung at 25/27. Does anybody know if the string will hold this tension??

Not sure what string that is. However, you can expect a very very powerful racket :)

Just bought it last week. Very solid racket. Frame is extremely stable. Value for money.

My W7 are all strung at 31x33lbs so 26lbs is nothing.

if BS-963 is not a good string, then you can change to NBG98, BG66, BG68Ti...then you will feel the power.
--- W7 is good!

well i showed it to some of my friends today and they all looked at it strangely and some even laughed cuz they never heard of sotx. But they all agreed it has a great feel. its sad how so many people can't think beyond yonex :(
Can't wait to actually try it out on court...

Yonex quality is not as gd as sotx for sure. Woven 7 can kill any yonex racket in court. I will deliberately clash it to kill their racket. HAHAHA. Then everyone will get a woven 7 after that

that's an evil plan to increase the sale of Yonex... some will change to SOTX but after a while, you might play doubles alone :p:p.

when I take my woven 7 to restring, the person at the store would wonder what brand is it. they have never heard of sotx. if stores are like that, you can imagine how it's like with end users.

That's good. If not Sotx will become like the evil empire. :) Value for money is hard to find nowadays.

well after playing a few matches with the w7 here are my conclusions:
1. I've got to spend a few days in the gym getting my arms/shoulders stronger. It takes a fair bit of strength to wield it.
2. To get the best out of this awesome racquet I'll have to get my technique right, which is good lol. This is a racquet that forces you to improve your technique or else it will seem like just a very ordinary racquet.
3. The sotx bs 963 string is very "responsive", if i can use that word. the shuttl just pings off it even when I want to play delicate net shots. Again, I'll have to perfect my technique, I guess, to get it right.
4. I love this racquet :D
