I love my Arc10 but I'm thinking about getting a backup racket. Is there a SOTX equivalent to the Arc10? I like the balance on the Arc10 but I'd prefer something a little bit stiffer. I'm a singles player mainly and my most played shots are drops.

Most of the sponsored singles player for Sotx use the Woven 13...
I am not saying this is the same playing feel of the Arc but it would be good choice for mainly singles players...

The CP 5000 was the racket of choice for Lin Dan because it had the feel of his Yonex 700...

You may try Woven 9a if you like to play drops, it is a light racket (85-85gr) but head heavy. If you want an evenly balance one you may try Woven 8 or Woven 12.

Just for point of interest....All Sotx rackets come in different balance points and weights...One model does not come only in even balance or only in head heavy balance...

They are all different and when they come to the dealer they have the weight, balance point and grip size on the racket...

CP1000 FTW! head lightish, extra stiff-stiff, 86 grams or so...the Diamond Fighter 700 is a really good singles racket IMO...extra stiff-stiff, head heavy, 88? grams...

I own a woven 9a, I'd defintely recommend it over the 8a any day.
haven't tried the 13 though.

Do you think that woven 9 is good for single play?

Did you compare this racket with d-900?

Personally for me, I really like the woven 9's single play.
It is a very light racket, but at the same time is slightly head heavy so the power is quite good.
I think i recall that it's specs are slightly longer than usual, so you get a bit more reach out of it, but als adapting to a longer reach will take time.
but i haven't tried any of the diamond fighter series.

The Arc10 is unique because it is made out of fullrene.
If you want a racket like arc 10, go for edgesaber 10. I know it sounds like a crappy clone, but you'd be surprised :P.
not only that, its a whole shipload cheaper :P
