Neck to neck between yao jie and tine rasmussen.
most of Yao Jie's points came from Tine's errors :)

U should watch badminton for badminton's sake, not because of MAS rep in final ...... :p
nevertheless; when one represents the country; it should be played with all pride and senses (the brain and then heart); after all, the player carries the country colours (ask Kuwichert ). The patriorism shown by the supporters (i.e. cute_tbh) will fire up the player to even greater heights! ;)

Now I understand the yo yo philosophy ;). So sad, a bridge too far for Hafiz. The greatest comeback from my pov was LD-LCW Malaysia 2006... 20-13 --> 21-23. I still watch that for motivational values, absolutely amazing :).

Tine Rasmussen just won, which means all of the events have at least 1 European finalist. Good for European badminton in general! :)

OVer already so fast, KKK/TBH come back from their sluggish start for this tourney, beat CHina MD in 2 sets, tomm meet Boe/Morgenson, not MK/Hendra as I had hoped.

Wow, yeah lah you all, Marc is doing very well this tourney, go Germany.

hard one for mas
i think ss might lost here:)

Tine Rasmussen bt Yao Jie 21-18 21-14 to set up AE rematch against Xiao Mao :)
Meanwhile PP/ZYW bt Zhang Dan/Zhibo 21-15 21-15
Overall, today ain't a good day for INA camp
As MK/HS, SDK and junior team in WJC lost :( :(
But definetely it was a gr8 day for both Marc Zwiebler and Kuwichert :D :D
Where is he, btw?
Maybe he faint when he heard the news? LOL :p :p

He is very well prepared. He learned his opponents well perhaps with the help of kuwichert.

@kuwichert - where are you? Congrats to your lonely knight.
Are you the bravery lonely knight? Good luck tomorrow..

if sdk can lost to him
why not ss?:(

Bcoz in every "Cinderella Stories" the princess must go home early before midnight. LOL :p :p
Just like what happened to MKY in INa Open SS (2008) when Zhu Lin brought her back to reality
Tomorrow, hope Simon can end this Cinderella drama as well :p :p
While Boonsak, Tine Rassmussen, WMC and Vita/Lilyana aren't that "POOR" just like Cinderella in the 1st place when they grab their 1st SS titles :D :D
...
But hey, Marc Zwiebler can prove me wrong though
As he and kuwichert may wrote the story entitled "A Knight's Tale"
Well if that's the case, hope it'll last longer and not just another One Hit Wonder
Whoever win, it'll be their 1st SS title, btw

Thanks buddy for supporting the lonely knight:cool: Amazing what I can read here, so I gonna start praying for another surprise tomorrow. Thought Kidawan will take a title for INA, but this way they gotta wait for Paris now, we have to cheer Marc tomorrow again:D:D:D
today my own success was limited, 3 matches won and 3 lost:eek: , tomorrow I gotta give a rest to my bones and have to cheer the knight online again. Just hope there will be some recordings I can download, need to see the history with my own eyes LOL:cool:

Marc is the first European MS player Not from Denmark that able to reached a major tournament final as far as I can remember. (like in the past 20 years or even more)

Can he step it up and win the title tomorrow? He has a chance to do that. But of course SS also will want to win his first major title too. SS will win in 3 tight sets.

XD, MD and WS will be very tight also.

XD : The Danes will win.

MD: If the Danes can serve 100% of free error, they will win.

WS: WYH wll win in 3 sets.

WD title will belong to ZYW and PP.

..but Re-Marc-eable!!!..:cool::cool:

Who woulda thunk Marc "Don't call me the WCH, HH, CL and SDK scalper for nothing" Zwiebler would reach the MS Final Rd?!?!...
You talk about one's confidence growing and growing after every single Rd and victory and i think the momentum will definitely be on his side for tomorrow's MS Final..

Marc is the first European MS player Not from Denmark that able to reached a major tournament final as far as I can remember. (like in the past 20 years or even more)
...
..depends on what one considers a "major tournament"?
If one considers the Denmark Open as one of the major tournaments in IBF/BWF, then yes, there was another European not from Denmark who'd reached and even won (back to back) the MS Final, in the last 20 yrs. His name is Darren Hall from the UK.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denmark_Open

If he's able to beat Wong Choong hann, beat yoyo hafiz (come back from 16-4 now), beat chen long the mighty great wall of china.. beat sony just now..why not beat simon..
come on, marc!:D
..i would feel the same. That rally from behind over HH is probably the turning pt in his journey in this tourney. This is probably going to be Marc's rare chance to experience the Final Rd. in an event of this caliber.

Hau-Ge can return to USA, safely knowing that Simon Santoso ensures at least 1 INA representative in the Men's Singles FINAL tomorrow.
...
..Hau-ge is coming back already???..i thought he would stay in Asia, at least til the end of Nov. or in December??..

What's wrong with Sony Dwi Kuncoro???
..i think from the scoreline, both played equally well. But I just feel, without watching the match, Marc was probably much more prepared and played a more patient and cleaner game. Maybe Sony wasn't prepared to play a longer match against Marc??..

How old is this Jan O. Jorgensen anyway? I'm sure he's not older than 25.
Still very young in European standard...
..he will be 22 yrs young at the end of this yr (born in 1987). Clearly DEN's new MS star.

As for the other matches, not a surprise INA's Kido & Setiawan lost. I thought they struggled in their QF Rd. victory. And playing against the home pair, behind the home crowd support, proved to be a monumental task for the still-recovering INA pair. Didn't they lose to the same DEN pair before, correct me if i'm wrong??
As for the rest of the matches, not a surprise the more veteran/experienced players/pairs are advancing.

kuwichert
10-24-2009, 02:53 PM
Totally unbelievable as Sony Dwi Kuncoro lost to Marc Zweibler

I hope Simon Santoso can win his first ever SS title. It will be unthinkable for INA if two of their best MS players lose to Marc Zweibler

don't worry, they just follow the Malaysian shuttlers LOL:D:D:D
