If it is North American players you are interviewing you could ask them what keeps them striving in a sport for which their talent will never be recognized nor remunerated in their homeland.

Hmmmm... Well you would always want to start off with the "tell us about yourself"
1.) What made you love the sport of badminton?
2.) Whats making you strive to become better?
3.) Do you have any ambitions? or future plans?
4.) How many times do you train?
5.) Who inspires you to play this great game? Why?
6.) How do you think badminton should improve internationally? or do you think badminton is already good the way it is
7.) If you were to play in the biggest event right now, how would u prepare for that?
8.) If you were to recommend this sport to someone, who would it be and why?
9.) What are some things that you like or dislike about badminton?
thats all i can think of right now
