badMania 10-29-2009, 01:05 AM MS R16
Joachim Persson [6] vs Simon Santoso -- as a newly-crowned SS title winner, I will expect Simon to at least challenge Lin Dan in the QF.
Mohd Hafiz Hashim vs Taufik Hidayat [4] -- Taufik should beat Yoyo Hashim.
Bao Chunlai vs Sony Dwi Kuncoro [5] -- I don't think Sony can beat Bao today.
MD R16
Markis Kido/Hendra Setiawan [1] vs Hirokatsu Hashimoto/Noriyasu Hirata -- another Japanese opposition today and hopefully similar results like yesterday.
Chris Langridge/Robin Middleton vs Bona Septano/Mohd Ahsan -- I think Bona/Ahsan can progress to the QF and face Boe/Mogensen.
WS R16
Tine Rasmussen [4] vs Adriyanti Firdasari -- a victory for Tine.
WD R16
Nitya Krishinda Maheswari/Greysia Polii [8] vs Satoko Suetsuna/Miyuki Maeda -- it will be a huge upset if Nitya/Grace can beat Suetsuna/Maeda.
Jenny Wallwork/Gabrielle White vs Meiliana Jauhari/Shendy Puspa Irawati [6] -- it will be unacceptable if Mel/Shendy are to lose.
XD R16
Hendra A. Gunawan/Vita Marissa [7] vs Fran Kurniawan/Pia Zebadiah Bernadet -- two all INA matches today and the senior pairs should prevail.
Devin Lahardi/Lita Nurlita vs Nova Widianto/Liliyana Natsir [2] --see above.
kuwichert 10-29-2009, 02:08 AM some other matches we need to watch too:
Olga needs to work hard to create a big surprise, hopefully she can beat that new CN-Wang star:eek: guess her chance to get to tomorrow's battles is much better in XD:confused: anyway, would be nice if she can send 3 Chinese back home today:D:D
Nath seems to have an easy task for today, not wasting energy in XD creates the chance for another surprise next days:eek: we gotta watch it:D
no news, today I'm not supporting Mr. Yoyo, Taufik needs to get full support, I wanna see him on top at the end of the week:rolleyes:

You missed Jin Chen vs Dicky Palyama !!
jasonmarc 10-29-2009, 02:34 AM You missed Jin Chen vs Dicky Palyama !!
Badmania was just feature on those matches related to INA players :p....;)
Thom_bad 10-29-2009, 02:41 AM Wow, sorry for INA fans !
I was in Paris yesterday and i noticed that the crowd LOVES Taufik, but others Indonesians aren't known here :(
For Badmania, i'm not really sure that Simon Santoso will beat JP. His match yesterday against Sho Sasaki was really hard !
kuwichert 10-29-2009, 02:43 AM Saina, Peter and Lady Pi should have easy tasks today , they don't need our full attention:confused: keep the power for upcoming matches, some Chinese on their way next:D
vpsingh 10-29-2009, 02:46 AM Since Mark Zwibler is out and Misha Zilbermann is not playing I find lesser intersting matches left:D:D
Joachim vs Simon (Simon Simon Simon:), Joachim is lucky not to lose in first round itself)
Hashim vs Sir Taufik (who dares play against you Sir???)
Bao vs Soni (could be any of them)
Tine vs Adrianti (Go Tine!! Adrianti becoming all too inconsistent)
Saina vs Yip (Saina following on Adrianti's footsteps, but should still win this)
Super Dan, Lu Lan, Jin Chen and Lin Wang will as usual make mince meat of their opponents :D:D
BTW does Olga have a chance???;)
kuwichert 10-29-2009, 03:32 AM Super Dan, Lu Lan, Jin Chen and Lin Wang will as usual make mince meat of their opponents :D:D
BTW does Olga have a chance???;)
For singles Olga has the chance of the underdog, this time it's very small:eek:
The mixed match today seems to be easier, but what is easy for an underdog:confused:
the other topic, who ever plays vs CN team member deserves our full support:cool: (as long as Gao Ling doesn't return , she would be the exception of that general rule:cool:)
So let's cheer the underdogs together, that's our task here :D:D:D
kuwichert 10-29-2009, 04:04 AM ups, last german on live stream:eek:
kuwichert 10-29-2009, 04:19 AM Saina starts better today than yesterday, what's wrong with KKK - he wanna focus on MD only:confused::confused:
bradja23 10-29-2009, 04:35 AM Persson 21-15
slow start from Simon. QF vs LD in danger...
kuwichert 10-29-2009, 04:38 AM ugly socks pay off again :D Hopp can stay for at least one more game LOL:cool:, may be get to next round also (if Hashimoto does not change the black one in the interval now:eek:
kuwichert 10-29-2009, 04:39 AM was it too early for KKK, now it looks good!
Saina doing well also.
abedeng 10-29-2009, 04:42 AM Persson took 8 straight pts from 2-4 to 10-4 in game 2! Now 11-5, interval.
whack_d_net 10-29-2009, 04:43 AM Go Simon, SEMANGAT :):):)
jasonmarc 10-29-2009, 04:44 AM Simon not looking good at the moment........
koo_fan 10-29-2009, 04:44 AM 15-13 / rubber game looks good. But never trust kkk/tbh. I have learned a lot. :p
abedeng 10-29-2009, 04:47 AM Extremely tough for Simon to turn this around. Persson must be pummeling him silly with his heavy smashes.
kuwichert 10-29-2009, 04:50 AM congrats to Saina, well done:cool:
Simon - looks like he got already fed up with the money from last week, or does he apply for next Yoyo name:confused::confused:
Jo - good luck, hope he can send back Lin Dan tomorrow (if he makes it to next round:eek:)
kuwichert 10-29-2009, 04:51 AM ok folks, it's Olga time now! Olga Olga Olga:cool:
LI De Quan 10-29-2009, 04:52 AM wow both simon and yip lost.my paws:D
abedeng 10-29-2009, 04:59 AM C'mon Olga! Make a date with KKK/WPT tomorrow.
melisa 10-29-2009, 04:59 AM ok simon lost in the end...
time for me to cheering on INA at WJC, i think its more interesting to me looking for futures INA's star.... especially Angga/Rendy
kuwichert 10-29-2009, 04:59 AM white socks gonna beat the opposite ugly mixed pair , we got one German to next round :-) not only girls gotta check out their outfit LOL
whack_d_net 10-29-2009, 05:01 AM Why, simon why? :(:(
Is he exhausted or already afraid to face LD, eh? LOL :):)
Umm, btw this Jojo Persson guy kinda like Yoyo, rite?
Sometimes he plays brilliantly,
Whilst some other times he lost tamely to relatively unknown players :eek:
Well, first casualty in INA camp for today
Hope it won't be trend :rolleyes:
kuwichert 10-29-2009, 05:03 AM Olga looks quite good, nice net play, hope she can do 2/3 of her task today now:D
kuwichert 10-29-2009, 05:09 AM Olgaa!!!!! don't let them come back!
abedeng 10-29-2009, 05:10 AM Why, simon why? :(:(
Is he exhausted or already afraid to face LD, eh? LOL :):)
Umm, btw this Jojo Persson guy kinda like Yoyo, rite?
Sometimes he plays brilliantly,
Whilst some other times he lost tamely to relatively unknown players :eek:
Persson is brilliant when he is allowed to use his power game. Not so brilliant (in fact, can be made to look silly) if he is forced to move about (like in S'pore Open last year against LCW). Not a very fluent mover when changing direction.
Simon needs to unfreeze his mind, sometimes when things go wrong he is unable to react and recompose himself.

Dede_Pran 10-29-2009, 05:13 AM huftt....what a waste of 10 points in a row for Olga's opponent....
kuwichert 10-29-2009, 05:14 AM no chances for Rajiy, all INA affairs not interested, so what is left:confused:

kuwichert 10-29-2009, 05:22 AM Olga Olga Olga, mymy, go go go
winzerer 10-29-2009, 05:22 AM Pray for fran/pia....instantly fallin in love with their performanced in NZ....go olga
vpsingh 10-29-2009, 05:27 AM Saina won :)

Simon lost so easily, although Jo is good player, I didn't expect him to win:confused:
Tine and Taufik coming soon.....
winzerer 10-29-2009, 05:29 AM Chen long way too fast for Ouseph
winzerer 10-29-2009, 05:32 AM auf geht ingo/michael....

Haha yeah, JP's footworks not so fluent and a bit awkward, just like Firda :(:(
As for Simon, hope he can show some progress and consistency in the near future
Not just one hit wonder after Den SS
Too bad Hendrawan no longer coaching him as his style suit SS well
winzerer 10-29-2009, 05:42 AM finally chen long through next round.....want it to see another match.
Ingo/michael put up a good fight
naistav 10-29-2009, 05:43 AM just as usual..

Dede_Pran 10-29-2009, 05:51 AM see..
she win in 1st set and than tine will win
yap....based on previous encounter, their match seemed so, but hope Firda can seal the match this time as Tine a bit tired after last week winning...14 points from Firda is tempting actually...
bradja23 10-29-2009, 05:51 AM 6 points in a row for Tine. Firda has missed the train there...
george@chongwei 10-29-2009, 05:53 AM wth happened to simon and yippie?
winzerer 10-29-2009, 05:56 AM Th looks quite comfortable for the opening match, many net cross

badMania 10-29-2009, 07:52 AM Sony Dwi Kuncoro might as well withdraw from the Hong Kong SS as he will face Lin Dan in the first-round. Better save the air-ticket and fiscal.

freelast 10-29-2009, 07:55 AM it seems that this French open is at much, much higher level than the Denmark open.
All the Denmark open semi-finalists, including finalists, runerup, champion... have all gone in early rounds of the French open.
Taufik should have played the Denmark, which was his best chance to grab the first SS title.

I don't think Chen Long can pass Taufik. I would say the most probable semifinalists are:
Lin Dan vs Chen Jin
Taufik Hidayat vs Bao CL
huangkwokhau 10-29-2009, 08:05 AM During INA Open, Dicky played well against Chen Jin...leading both sets but lost both in deuces....seems they are quite tied as well....Olga seems plays better than 1st set...
