Sotx Power Boss Woven

Hi All
Anyone know what the Sotx Power Boss Woven are like thinking about getting one. Needs to be really stiff. Or if you have any other rackets that are really stif and can be strung tight.

I am currently using the Woven 7, it's a head heavy racket and stiff. Great for power, I strung it at 25 lbs. In my honest opinion, it compares to the yonex armortec 700. So if you like that racket, then... this is ideal.

I have to say, SOTX makes very durable rackets. I've had a dozen clashes and it's a solid as a champ. I remember i broke a AT 700 during a racket clash.

well I've only played with yonex, kason and sotx, and I'll settle with sotx with the price offered comparing to yonex.

Woven 11 and 7 are great, stiff and heavy.

Also try the diamond fighter 600, it's stiff, extra long, plays like a faster, more explosive AT700 which is more manuverable.

Ummm...According to Dinkalot's review (you should check it out, really great resource) it's more stiff.

Personally, I've only played with the woven 7...super solid racquet IMO.

I did checked Sir Dink's review.
There is no more WB 7 in Canada and according to SOTX website they are the same in stiffness. Both are rated 8.5 to 9.
Can it be 7i is the newer model or 2 gen?
I know 8 and 8a, 9 and 9a are the same beside the colour.
So, can 7 and 7i the same beside colour and weight?

the woven 5a is also a great racket. it's pretty stiff and even balance. It's really light and amazing for defense. It's got good power, probably not as powerful as the head heavy ones but it is more than enough to get the job done.

which type of SOTX racket that resemble the same characteristic as SOTX WOVEN 16, in terms of shaft stiffness and racket weight?
i don't mind if it is a little bit more head heavy than woven 16, as long as it is not really2 head heavy.

I've been using SOTX woven 7 for almost a year, and Woven 9a for about 6 months. They are solid rackets for offensive and defensive play, stiff, and the most durable rackets I've ever had. Before I had yonex NS 7000, Ti-10 2nd and 3rd gen, Fischer, apacs Edge Saber 10, Apacs nano power 700, apacs pro furious 2000. Yonex are not as durable as Woven, and Apacs rackets stiffness are not like yonex rackets. Woven has the stiffness like Ti-10 or NS 7000 but it is more durable. If you like offensive head heavy but light in weight choose Woven 9a.

Just to add, the Woven 7 and 9 are not the stiffest of the Woven series, if that is what the Godfather is looking for.
The Woven 4, 5 and 7i, 10, 11, 11i are rated stiffer.

To answer his other question, they are all rated to be strung at high tension.

All the Sotx rackets come in wide range of Balance points and weights...
One can not say that a certain model is a Head Heavy model because it is not always the same...
There is a basic range for Head Heavy that runs from 29.0--30.0 (and sometimes higher)...and in this range it also has different weights (like from 86-90 grams...)
So you can get many different combination's...all from one model...

Other models have a range of 28.0--29.0 and this is generally head lite range...

Check out the Woven 5,10, 13 as they all play well...
Also the racket that Lin dan used is the CP5000 and it plays exactly like his old Yonex 700 so you might consider it also...
One year warranty is best you can get and the rackets are very strong so seldom need to use the warranty...

I am Sotx distributor and the warranty is very important to me...

The Woven 13 is what most of the singles (Sotx sponsored) players are using

Sotx is one of the few companies that is actually producing new technology in their racket frames...

This is one of the few Sotx rackets that I have not tested...

To be truthful it was just too expensive for our market so I did not get one for testing...
According to the specifications it should play well for arm swing player who has more money than skill...I have always thought of it in the same way as buying a Rolls Royce when a BMW would be more usefull...:D

I dont see anything in the specifications that would indicate it was going to play in accordance to its price...

LiNing rackets (to me) are also in this category....

CP 5000 is quite expensive... hehehe.....
anyway, been looking at Woven 7 recently, however, it seems that the racket is quite heavy around 90 gram

This model is 290--300 bp range and all are heavy but the 7i can be ordered in 87 gram...

The 5L is more of an all around solid playing racket...and for the price it is my choice of all the Woven series...Graphics are for young players liking...

I really should find my notes and do a Sotx racket review from a doubles players view point...There were many many hours of testing and it would help the doubles players choices...Not enough hours in the day:(

As far as I know the stiffest SOTX is with shaft stiffness of 8.0-8.5
