kuwichert 11-05-2009, 08:29 AM now its the residents in europe's turn to suffer:D
lol
don't worry buddy, it's better for us since we get some entertainment for the office time:eek: or for another breakfast joy on the weekend, so some lessons on computers before I have to get out for my own battle again:cool:.
we just need live broadcast by a chinese channel , Astro not available here:mad:
kuwichert 11-05-2009, 08:30 AM well when itcomes to football matches it's ours who " suffer " haha
guess all soccer fans suffer all the time since they're waiting more than 2 hours sometimes without getting a chance to watch a goal:eek:

If you don't understand Chinese, your best chance will be
WoBTV, I believe it has the same video feed as Astro, thus
same broadcast schedule as Astro. Chinese broadcast tends
to switch broadcast program when no Chinese player involved.
And best of all, no annoying commercials and affordable....

george@chongwei 11-06-2009, 02:12 AM thanks - which player do I need to use for WoBTV? is it on TVU player, sopcast:confused:
wobtv is a paid website to stream live super series badminton.
u cant have it for free:p
kuwichert 11-06-2009, 02:21 AM Hi guys,
what is the experience with WoBtv, especially in Europe when the tournament takes place in China? Did anybody use it before, maybe in Germany:eek:
Does it work well for us out of Astro areas?
ctjcad 11-06-2009, 02:29 AM ..to switch to free livestream via the chinese channels broadcast...

only if you like these annoying comments, switched schedules and if you are not interested in MS finals which is going to be TH-LCW:D LOL, - for all others or in other words for all non-mainland-fellows, it's not the first choice:eek: I gotta think about putting some $ on WoB:confused:, already the great comments by Gillian Clark will pay it off:cool:
jutawin 11-07-2009, 09:44 AM INDOVISION has confirmed it will broadcast Hongkong SS & China SS in semi & Final..
dunno about local tv station..

i usually tuned down or turned off the volume when watching those chinese based livestream. as long as it's free, i'm down with it. the only factor i'd consider in getting the wob.tv is the delay livestream is no longer there (mostly from lagging & buffering).
ytyang 11-07-2009, 01:21 PM Simplybadminton has announced CCTV5 will carry HK open SF and Finals, only 2 hours for SF broadcast.

Yes, it is true that CCTV5 will be showing HKO at 1710. I just checked the schdeule. But, at 1800, they will be showing Asian Athletic Championships. That means they only show HKO for 50 minutes!!! If all the afternoon matches finished before 1710, what they gonna show?
suetyan 11-13-2009, 07:52 PM Is Astro broadcasting the 2nd session which stars at 6.30pm HK time.Any others broacaster ?

Thanks in advance.
xymaerts 11-13-2009, 11:25 PM That is really sucks... Why no TV broadcaster broadcast it? It happens also in Chinese Master 2 months ago !!! Why? what is the IBF strategy? To make badminton less popular?
no, Astro will only show the afternoon session. :(

..CCTV5 is not following their own schedule. And they are currently showing the delayed WD match between CHN vs. MAS. So, i don't know what their schedule will be.
Btw, yes, the main camera's angle is quite funky.
CCTV5 is now showing the recorded match between WL vs. JYJ.
ctjcad 11-14-2009, 02:26 AM ..CCTV5 is showing a bunch of guys in tights jumping, twisting & flipping on top of a trampoline..
Crocodile Serve 11-14-2009, 02:50 AM does anyone have any idea whether there'll be any badminton after the gymnastics?

Gues so :-) But the latest matces i watched it has always been gill commentating :D
WOB is great, and I would encourage anyone to subscribe, just to make it financially viable for them to go on with live streaming service!!
It would be perfect.. if they a) showed more early rounds b) multiple streams from different courts c) better info on times/schedule local times d) even higher quality/bandwidth streams (HDTV) :-) , made the archive availabe for offline viewing and so on ..
Cheers,
Twobeer
george@chongwei 11-14-2009, 04:47 AM But in order to watch on wob.tv too, one have to have a fast internet speed;)

Destricto_Ense 11-14-2009, 04:52 AM And WoB don't take Paypal which is a serious disincentive for signing up for their site ... payment takes too long.

It needs about 700kbps download bandwidth, and a newer pc. It worked
fine on my 1.7G Thinkpad T42, but not a P4 A31P. Quality is decent...
ctjcad 11-14-2009, 01:54 PM hopefully CCTV5 will broadcast the Finals on time and really live up to the LIVE proposition..

Destricto_Ense 11-14-2009, 11:39 PM I don't think so... they probably want you to be able to bet while watching.
