Well I happened to win a free black knight raquet of my choice for free and I need some help. I have a Photon PCV already and I want something heavier. Not trying to be expensive but I just happened to like the feel of the Xenon and I was thinking of getting it. I haven't tried the Krypton and I was told that it was a larger version than the Xenon with some differences. I can't try a Krypton right now, but I was wondering if anyone has noticed a diference between the two, and what their preference is.

Kryton is longer (XL) and a bit lighter
Some basic spec from their website:
The racket you already have:
Characteristics of the PHOTON PCV :
The dazzling new Photon PCV combines Power Channel and
VibraPlate technologies with superlight carbon materials.
Its light weight allows the Photon to accelerate faster than any
other racquet you have ever used, and yet the finely tuned
distribution of weight and flex allows the Photon to deliver the
power of a heavier racquet.
String : sold unstrung
Recommended Tension : 18-24 lbs
Total Length : 67 cm
Rigidity Index : 82

Characteristics of the Vortex Krypton XL :
Designed for: Advanced to International level
Characteristics: The Krypton XL has been built light and flexible, with an XL frame, but with the balance still toward the head, to generate a lot of head speed for less powerful players. Although generally suited to singles, it is light enough to be excellent for very fast defensive play, but still hits hard for an attacking doubles player.
String : Sold unstrung
Recommended Tension : 21-30 lbs lbs
Total Length : 68 cm
Rigidity Index : 86
Avg. Frame Weight : 82 g
String Area : 352 cm2

Characteristics of the Vortex Xenon :

Characteristics: The Xenon is a medium flex racquet with a mid balance, optimized for a game based on control and strategy.
String : Sold unstrung
Recommended Tension : 21-30 lbs lbs
Total Length : 67 cm
Rigidity Index : 85
Avg. Frame Weight : 84 g
String Area : 352 cm2

The Vortex Krypton XL is a little longer and a little lighter than the Vortex Xenon. The Vortex Krypton XL is a touch stiffer than the Vortex Xenon (maybe not noticable).

it depends on your style of play, if your game is based mainly on strategy and control and you like and even to head light balance like the photon then go with the xenon. On the other hand if you're looking to pick up some power and angle on your smashes as well as some depth on your clears then the krypton is for you.
I'm a bk sponsored player and have tried both and i'm currently using the krypton xl.
If there's anything else you would liek to know about the tw rackets just let me know.
