There will be Yonex ArcSaber 100 Limited Edition JP (ARC-LTD), Yonex 100th AE Tour Bag JP (BAG-LTG), and Yonex BG-66LTD coming out in Feb 2010.

Pictures cannot be released now (until further instruction from Yonex Japan) but you are welcome to email or PM me for further information.

How did you get word of the limited ed stuff? from the higher ups? :p

As far as I know, the base bag is BAG912PR (http://img526.imageshack.us/img526/5179/bag912prb.jpg). It will be white, with gold letters with a small AE logo on the side with a bigger England flag (St. George's Cross)
I think this bag is quite small :eek:, I would prefer a bigger one

The Arc 100 ltd is similar to Acr 7. Nothing good from Yonex then unless they have some other new high end racket soon. :(

:D Too large? Actually I was planning to buy the bag but now that is (/appears) just a regular 7926 instead of 912PR I don't think I will. Also the All England logo just looks out of place there ... maybe in all gold it wouldn't stand out so much.

A few of us already knew about the racket's details but cannot disclose the info as per NDA.

Yes there is a JP version of both the racket and Bag because what is shown there is an international version of the items, not the JP.

if u are referring to the Yonex JP Badminton Bag, yeah it is way better than SP Badminton bag in terms of material that is used, it is more solid than SP.. you get what you pay.

I reckon that this 'Limited edition' is not so limited afterall. I think one of the reasons that they are using the Arc 7 is because they want to keep the 10 and the Z-slash as the top rackets, while clearing up the Arc 7 stock. Also, they may actually make a higher margin by selling a less top spec racket as a limited livery version.

Nope, that's not tue. Arc 7 is part of the part of the high-end racket and will stay.

That's because you can't order the BAG-LTD because you're passed the reserve date, so the entries have been removed. This also applies to other shops as well.

The whole thing except for the Jr. T Shirt is rubbish???

Give your head a shake! It's a limited edition product for the 100th Anniversary of the biggest tournament in Badminton. It's not supposed to be a new technology or a step up from anything in the line. A limited edition product is about the reasion it's being offered and only has life as long as the reason exists so once the tournament is done that's going to be pretty much it. The racket is a good racket that is proven. If they came out with a product that was new what would they call it 6 months from now or next year?

This product offering honours the tournament and the history of the game. If you can't be there at least you can purchase a cool bag and a shirt or a different paint job on the Arc 7. Finally Yonex did the right thing and told you the racket was basically an Arc 7 in the ad. If they tried to deceive anybody it would be all that "Evil Empire" stuff again.

Since "alot of critics" only seems to apply to my post ... yes RUBBISH. A special packaging for BG66 :rolleyes: WOW, what a way to honour the greatest tournement around! *drool* Should I hang on to it for the next 100 years? Alot of thought has been put in the t-shirts as well http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/images/icons/icon14.gif. The Thomas/Uber Cup limited edition was a MP99. The Beijing one AT700 probably only because of LD and you can still get them for less than $150. I can certainly understand the choice for Arc7 (couldn't name 5 ladies using the 10 on tour). I certainly never mentioned new technology as a prerequisite for a limited edition but why not the Arc10. And if you're supposed to store them to collect, might as well have painted over and Arc5 or Z-Slash to have the latest thing. Yet they had to pick the oldest one in the range ...
The banana bag looks like a DIY heat transfer job as do the t-shirts. Why not an all-white retro outfit with an embroidered 100th logo in place of the "YY" and one of those velvet JP sacks with some more emroidery :p?
The bag I like except for it not being the better JP version and the AE 100th logo stuffed in the corner like it was the last place available in the end (and who knows what the other side looks like).
Since I have none of the previous limited models I personally don't feel that "need to add it to my collection of ltd's".

I ordered the whole package deal, but the BG66 is a running joke between me and the store owner as he would say, how will you know it's a BG66Ltd when it's on the racket, the only difference would be the packaging of the strings, unless they also print ltd on the string, which I doubt....

So I ask her, why do you need so many purses.... you can only use one at a time AND they cost 5 -10 times what my badminton bag costs and can only hold 1/100 of the stuff.

whoever purchases any of these 100th anniversary all england goodies and plans on reaping it for some moentary fortune in the future, better not lose or destroy or damage them. if i were to purchase on e of these,i'd keep it in a very safe place.i think these are some of those rare badminton items which will at least keep their value, if not increase them. good luck!

So, next time you have more excuses at getting "Matching" (sounds familiar this magic word?) clothing, pants and shoes for each racket you have. E.g Matching yellow/Red top + Pants + shoes if you use Arc Z , and so on. Why? Because the wives, girlfriends have matching items for their clothes too.

Nah, my wife is pretty cool. I don't bug her too much about her clothes and she doesn't bug me about my hobbies. Relatively speaking, my badminton stuff is cheap. I could probably buy 15 high end rackets for the cost of my golf clubs....

Just got mine from Burr_ger. Only UK coded but that doesn't matter to me as i am going to play with it anyway as i wanted an Arc 7. Though i love the sexy paintjob, the racket is a piece of art.

I bought one with the store owner (a badminton coach) telling me is Arcsaber 10 - at $260 Singapore dollars including string and grip. Smashing power is awsome!

I volunteered at the AE this year, and my supervisor blagged a free set of this stuff from the Yonex wholesale guy.

string appearance has no different with the normal BG66.
But material was said to be slightly tougher than normal BG66...
So far tested found it does have a lil bit different...
but not very obvious... maybe just psychological XD
